I hate console FPS games because I am unable to aim for shit with the controller. It pisses me off so bad, when I play with my friends who are console gamers they constantly get high scores and I'm always the odd one out. Usually I just turn off the console and go back to PC gaming and all is okay, but I want to play with my friends on the console and not do terrible. How can I improve with the controller if I hate using it so much? Does anyone else feel similarly? So yeah, I just wanted to get that off my chest. I know this really isn't thread worthy but I'd like to hear some opinions on the subject matter.
I don't know why this is dumb, I'm just asking what people think.
It's exactly the same as the mouse.
The more you play, the better you'll be, no way around it.
I suck at the mouse, but I just had to lower sensitivity. Try rising it. If not, then keep on trying.

I used to play console games a lot and I never really improved, sometimes I do good though, I find I do very well mostly when I have someone playing splitscreen with me on a game. The smaller screen makes me do better for some reason, maybe it's because I'm more adjusted to a monitor which is smaller than a TV.

Now you can use your mouse and keyboard with your Xbox 360!
Haha, first person shooters on consoles.

I used to be good at console games, now I struggle with their controls from time to time.
You lose muscle reflex and memory. That's all it really is
Yeah same as me, the only reason to play them is because all of my friends play on consoles.
I'm good with both. However, I have to have a medium-high sensitivity on my 360 for it to feel right.
Woohoo, let the bashing begin.
Nice job FP, never cease to amaze.
Facepunch, help, i suck at FPS's, is that a valid reason to bitch about them?
Eh.
I prefer the higher range of movement with a mouse. I also prefer when I stop moving the mouse, the view stops moving. I can whip around and stop and don't have to worry about sensitivity being different on the different axis.
Mouse will always be better, but I usually can keep up with my console faggort friends.

I've heard that pro computer players do all the actions 1 second faster than pro console players.
I prefer PC but Im broke and my pc needs an upgrade so im stuck with the console atm, but getting better.
Yea, but it's more realistic. Even pro xbox aimers still pick the easiest targets, You don't to be impossible to hit, just more difficult than someone else within view of the sniper.
I prefer PC FPS over the consoles but I've learned to aim by moving rather than moving the mouse. It helps a lot in more ways than just aiming, especially when you combine the two.
I can't play PC FPS for the life of me.

HAHAHA GET IT fps's on consoles
man those graphics seem bad now, I know exactly where that picture was taken though.
got a ps3 and 360 here but hands down i still prefer the pc for certain genre's of games such as RTS's, MMOs and FPSs, but for stuff like hack n slash's and beat em ups definately prefer the controller or a joystick if i can be arsed to pay for one.

This man has the right idea.
I know I'm quoting the second post but....

Console FPS have aim assists. If they didn't have that, no one would be able to play
