Ugh, just fucking perfect. The game crash that I get every other map change in TF2 is now in CSS.
It fucking broke my server, and all servers I know and play on. I'm spending so much time updating my server just to get it to work with the new goddamn client now. Thanks Gabe.
No complaints here. I think all the elitist/veterans should just stop complaining. However, I think the server runners are having a harder time getting everything up to date, so really, they have the right to complain. :colbert:

Give the mod / plugin makers a week to fix their shit and CSS will be back to normal, but better. You can't expect Valve to keep constant legacy support for mods.
In fact, I am currently running the only surf server in the world. Only updated servers are in the list, and I just installed a surf server as a test. Two people are joining every 10 seconds. If I kick anybody, it's full again within five minutes. This is crazy.
Well, not all the skins are fucked up. But any that used the old method of imitating phong shading (envcube or something like that, wasn't it?) are now really, really shiny and fucked-up looking.
Never really played CSS that much, just when it was the hype. But still, I believe this update is just fine.
All the mods are broken including zombie mod so unless they are fixed within the week Valve can go fuck themselves.

They killed what made CSS the awesome game it was. There was nothing to fix, and definitely nothing to improve on. Why the fuck else have I been playing this game religiously for the past 5 years??!!! Now I'm going to have to host my own server with all the modifications to revert it to the original gameplay just so I can play a good game of CSS. What a fucking waste of time just because of this stupid attempt of revamping an already not dead game.

The administrator says that it'll be updated, no worries. Just need to give some time for everyone to update their mods and servers.
It was fine before the update and didn't need a update. I dreaded this date ever since I got into the beta and played it for a bit.
Also, to anyone who acts all smug saying that only the "elite players" want the old CSS back because they don't want to be put at the same level as everyone else, then you're obviously the dudes I completely fuck up every time I play CSS. Fucking hooray, you get a chance to not completely suck.
