I think "Episode 3" simply transformed into Half Life 3 (or maybe there never really was a Episode 3 and it was just a code named hint for HL3 all along)...just my speculation.

I don't think gabe would confirm Ep3 by email. E3 is a very important event, it wouldn't be a surprise if he tell us what they are going to show on E3..

If it's L4D3, Valve is going down the shitter If it's Prospero, I'll gladly welcome it, we need more surreal fantasy-like games If it's a HL game, it will either be Half-Life 3 (would make much more sense to brand it as such, HL2:EP3 can sound obscure to the average gamer), or Episode Three itself (in which case you have to remember Valve likes trolling its fanboybase)

Maybe they've been working on more than we can imagine, as a bonus to ending the Freeman story arc they perhaps are going to release expansions similar to Blue Shift and Opposing Force. Wouldn't that be awesome? They did so when they started the Freeman story arc, so why not end it the same way too? [I]remember, i called it :v:[/I]

The Freeman story arc isn't ending because Half-Life itself is about Freeman. This is the City 17 story arc.
