I agree it isn't perfect, but I support this thread and hope it manages to get somewhere in a forum where people don't support Counter Strike like they do TF2, for instance.

modelling hats doesn't require anywhere near as much effort as it does to animate, skin + model an M4 or whatever

There's one thing I like about the CSS mods, which is that they don't need to follow any style and thus it gives you more freedom to make any weapon.
