I did a quick search and didn't see a thread for discussion in the Command and Conquer Red Alert series. I thought it wouldn't be too bad to start one covering the three games. You can post your favorite maps of the games, strategies, favorite units and factions, etc, etc.. I tend to like to build several bases in Red Alert 2 and attack the enemy with a ton of Conscripts from 3 different sides of their base. :hist101:
"KIROV REPORTING" Level 3 kirovs with their electro bombs always kicked ass.
It was all about fully promoted Apocalypse Tanks. "THE APOCALYPSE HAS BEGUN!" It's such a shame Red Alert 3 killed the series with weeaboo bullshit. And they replaced the hot Tanya with some blonde girl :saddowns: Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge were fantastic. Also:

Conscript Reporting Did anyone else play the online map where the entire point was to send an engineer to the center island, capture the airfield, and use the free modded planes there to nuke everyone?

Oh man, I used to play RA2 so much when as a kid. Yuri's revenge sucked tough :saddowns:

May not be the same color as the soviet Mammoth tank but its still a mammoth tank :smug: ...And yes this is mine.
Am I the only one that really enjoyed Red Alert 3 and thought it was a really well done and polished RTS?
I enjoyed it too though not as much as RA2. Also "A little C4 knockin' at your door." I won a FFA game with 3 other friends with only 2 Chrono Commandos.
Am I the only one that really enjoyed Red Alert 3 and thought it was a really well done and polished RTS?
most likely...
I kinda like RA3, Though I still think RA2 is the best there is out of the series. Rubber shoes in motion.
Red Alert 3 fucked up Red Alert storyline [editline]10:01PM[/editline] Now I can't tell which part of the history is canon
Am I the only one that really enjoyed Red Alert 3 and thought it was a really well done and polished RTS?
I liked it. But AI sucks. There are various problems with the story. And balancing of sides is off.
I still have my old RA1+2 disks somewhere, aswell as the very first C&C disk+package. Oh the memories.
I have to install C&C The First Decade again
How predictable
Oh yeah. Red Alert 2 has to be one of the best RTSes ever. I used to play Skirmish as Yuri, just mind control two of my allies and build my own superbase consisting of all three sides. I also modded the game a bit, it's amazing how much stuff was left out of the game. You know how in Generals they added the option to garrison (and also be able to shoot from the buildings) with all the other infantry units instead of just basic infantry? Well, that was already possible in RA2 they just didn't implement it for some reason. I just went through the whole .ini turning the whole game upside down. Shame I didn't back it up, it made for some nice change of pace while playing.
Yuri is to OP in Yuris Revenge
Yuri is to OP in Yuris Revenge
People need to exploit his weaknesses, IMHO.
Yuri is shit easy to kill, you just need some weak suicide units to get mind controlled by the towers.
Pride of the US navy. Those fucking hornets were so hard to kill. Hornets in the air!
Oh aircraft carrier spam, where would we be without you? [editline]03:22PM[/editline] I loved the tactics in Yuri's revenge. Like when you're playing online, you mind control your allies units, and they mind control yours, that way when you go attack the enemy base, they can't mind control your units.
All of us should get a game going some time, I have the First Decade and RA3. Maybe Friday or something.
