It was started on the May 10, 2009. It's a 3D block based game created in Java, meaning it is browser based. It's currently free, but for custom skins and the new games modes, which have not yet been released, but are in the works, you will have to pay 10 Euros, or whatever the equivalent in dollars is. The price will double when the game is closer to fruition. The game is similar to Infiniminer, but at this point about ten times more popular, so you probably heard of this first. Gameplay consists of: Placing and deleting assloads of different blocks. There's water and lava, both are infinite, water goes fast, lava goes slow. Amazing map generator, too. Here's some goddam copypasta: Single Player You click singleplayer on the front page and the level is generated, you have deep seas, sandy beaches and rolling hills. Huge cave complex's and beneath your feet, ready for exploration. It auto generates forests and other features. As yo wander the many valleys, you wonder, where are the houses? You right click and band you can now place blocks, press B and you change what block to use! And you can set all the blocks from 1-9, then use the keys to select each one. You build yourself using glass, wood and grand floors. Fun? Multiplayer This is where the fun kicks in, you join up on the server. Bang in front of you are people all around, grand structures being built. Some of it is truly awe inspiring, you get lost in the maze of buildings, murals and towers. Want to build a megastructure? Now you can do it with friends, meaning you can make it twice as epic in the same amount of time it would of taken you alone. [B]February 12, 3:50 PM Set up a base camp[/B] Well, it took a little time, but my home-away-from-home is all set up. I will be traveling to the cave during the day, and returning to my starting base at night, mostly to protect me from... Well, there's no need for worry. The groaning earlier as well as the discarded sheep carcass has told me that there are predators on this island. Perhaps if I move to one higher up soon, I will be able to get a clear view of the sun. Ah, yes, I forgot to mention. I've landed and set up camp on one of the lower islands. At around noon, the sun is blocked by the upper islands until three or four. It is nearly as dark as night in the shadow of the other islands, though it clears up pretty quick. Anyway, I crafted an extra chest to keep any of my findings in and set it next to my workbench, which I will take with me wherever I go in case I am in need of supplies. I cut down a few trees and made a makeshift door to the cave, which I will seal at night so I may sleep there and further my studies. As I entered the cave, I heard the birds again. Louder, this time. I'm sure it was nothing. I will take some rock samples and record them here. Multiplayer skins have been added to Indev, hopefully means full multiplayer will be available soon.

Nah, I understand that, had braces too. I wish mobs would despawn/disappear after a certain amount of time in daylight. Nothing says trapped like 9 skeletons and a creeper outside of your glass cube base. And yes, that's a true story.

JESUS, I play for several hours in indev with no problems, keeping my little mine well lit and my house plastered in torches... suddenly I'm attacked by a zombie. First I've seen... I fend it off, having only lost one heart. I look around for where it could have spawned, seeing nowhere without a torch well placed. So, I put up a few more torches and go back to mining, thinking it was a freak accident. a few minutes later, I'm smacked again, losing 3 hearts. What? I look around, there's nothing there... *thwack* another 3 hearts gone... I turn around, and see a skeleton sniping me through the entrance to my mine, standing inside my house. I can't get out of view, I can't run up the stairs, it's just there shooting me like a fish in a barrel. 3 hearts left, I've tossed up a few blocks to prevent direct shots, I'm panicking. Thankfully if it comes down, I can fend it off, I've got a sword. nothing happens. a minute passes, no sounds. It must have faded away or something... So, I peek out from behind my impromptu shield... there's nothing. I delete the blocks I used for my shield, and turn around. [highlight]*thwack!*[/highlight] GAME OVER ...as I tip over and fade to red, I see three skeletons, 2 zombies and an exploding cactus thing pour out from the top of my stairs, proceeding to dance on my corpse. :frown: [editline]1:11[/editline] [highlight]FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF[/highlight] just restarted from a save just before that horrible assault. Safeguarded everything, doubled my lighting, and survived the night... started digging downwards to find more than just coal and stone. Came across a MASSIVE cave, and proceeded to run around lighting it up, making sure there weren't any mobs around. Posting torches here and there, I see nothing, hear nothing. I find a long, narrow passage way that oddly resembles big stairs. I climb up it, and there's a long, un cave-like passage. I gleefully walk along it, placing torches as I get to the edge of the previous torch... I hear something... I back up into the light, turn around, and there's nothing. I draw my sword and wait for something to come out into the open... nothing. a minute passes... nothing. I whip out a torch, walk to the edge of my last torch's shadow, place it on the groun-[highlight]SPIDERRRR!!!![/highlight] I light up a tarantula mid-jump at my face. It raped me to death in 2 seconds flat. I physically jumped and nearly threw my laptop :ohdear:

Maybe change the difficulty to Peaceful for a bit until you're ready to fight creatures?

In the indev version how do you make items, I fail to see what button you hit.

Place combination of items in that to get basic items. Once you make a crafting table, you can make more complex items in a five by five box. [B]EDIT:[/B] When you have the combination right, and an object appears in the output box, click it, and add it to your inventory.
