I was doing absolutely nothing the other day, and suddenly remembered how amazing these games were. Thread-worthy, even. Just for reference, I am talking about the PS1 games here, not the sucky-ass new Crash games. I wasted so much time of my life playing these three games.
Crash Bandicoot
The first game in the series, Crash Bandicoot was released by Naughty Dog in August of 1996.
It was published by Sony Computer Entertainment and Universal Interactive Studios.
Plot
Crash Bandicoot, a creature evolved by Doctor Neo Cortex, tries to clean up the pollution the doctor has caused and stop him in his plans for world domination with the help of Aku Aku. Doctor Cortex, while trying to create the ultimate soldier using the Evolvo Ray and the Cortex Vortex using Crash as one of his experiments, noticed that the experiment had gone wrong and chased him out of his castle. He considers Crash a failure due to his kind nature. Washing up on N. Sanity Island, he resolves to stop Cortex and save Tawna, another evolved female bandicoot. Aku Aku is the voodoo mask spirit of an old witch doctor. He watches over the three islands and aids Crash on his quest to defeat Doctor Cortex and clear up the toxic waste he has created.
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
The second game in the Crash series, it was released in October of 1997.
It was published by Sony Computer Entertainment and Universal Interactive Studios.
Plot
Dr. Cortex finds a large Crystal that proves to be useful for his upcoming plans. He hopes to build a Super Cortex Vortex in space, large enough to turn the entire planet into his slaves. But to obtain the full power needed for these plans, he will also need 25 additional Crystals scattered throughout the Wumpa Islands. Without any comrades of his own, he captures Crash Bandicoot and takes him into a dark room. There, Cortex convinces him to gather the Crystals for him, with the promise of the use of the Crystals for good. He tells Crash that soon the planets will align and this will create a catastrophic solar flux and that the Crystals are the only means of containing this force.
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
The second game in the Crash series, it was released in November of 1998.
It was published by Sony Computer Entertainment and Universal Interactive Studios.
Plot
The game takes place immediately after the previous installment, in which Doctor Nitrus Brio uses the 42 gems Crash has collected to power his giant laser weapon to destroy Doctor Neo Cortex's space station. As a result, large chunks of the space station's debris plummet down to Earth and crash into an ancient temple on Wumpa Island. When the smoke clears, an evil entity flies off into the night.
Back on N. Sanity Island, the home of Crash and his friends, an evil laughter rings through the air. Aku Aku appears shaken and urges everyone to come inside, as a great evil has come.
Uka Uka confronts Doctor Neo CortexIn an as-of-now unknown area, Doctor Neo Cortex is seen cowering before the evil entity (now known as Uka Uka), who appears to have saved Cortex from the depths of space and is now upset that Cortex has failed him twice. Cortex insists that it is all Crash Bandicoot's fault but Uka Uka's patience is spent, as there is now no other power source on the planet. But since Cortex has indirectly set him free, Uka Uka spares Cortex's life and introduces Doctor Nefarious Tropy, master of time and the creator of the "Time Twister" that the trio is currently standing on. With N. Tropy's Time Twister, the villains plan on gathering the Power Crystals in their original places in time.
Inside Crash's home, Aku Aku tells the Bandicoots a story of how many eons ago, Uka Uka, Aku Aku's evil twin brother, was locked in an underground prison by Aku Aku to protect the world from his malice, and now that he is free, he must be stopped at all cost. With that, Crash and his friends travel to the Time Twister Machine, where their adventure begins.
After Crash and Coco have defeated N. Tropy (along with Cortex's minions, Tiny Tiger, Dingodile and Dr. N. Gin) and collected all of the Crystals and all of the Gems, Crash battles Doctor Cortex in the core of the Time Twister Machine. Upon Cortex's defeat, the Time Twister implodes (due to N. Tropy's defeat), taking Cortex, Tropy, and Uka Uka with it. Crash and the others escape just in time for the snow season. As the ending credits roll, it is seen that the three villains are trapped in a time prison, with Cortex and Tropy transformed into babies and fighting over Uka Uka's possession.

Who else has fond memories of these games?
Each more jizz-worthy than the last.
Twinsanity never happened. :tinfoil:

Fixed. Twinsanity was funny enough to overlook its supposed badness.
Also, the first (AND ONLY, IN MY BOOK) CTR was glorious.

Twinsanity did have a certain type of humor, but it didn't feel like a Crash game to me.
CTR was good for 1 or 2 sequels. IT went bad at the one where you could combine cars or whatever.
Oh, and I bought Crash of the Titans. It's the only game I've spent $50 on and never gotten past the first level. Changing Aku-Aku's voice and looks was too much.
3 is the best one ever.

Oh, if it was only that easy to deny. If only...
Also: who thinks that Pinstripe kicked ass? Best boss of all imho
Ah... Nostalgic video games. I loved the 2nd and third ones. I was SO HAPPY when I beat the final boss in warped.
Fucking Ripper Roo. Never forget.
I got the Crash Warp or whatever its called, pretty cool game
The first CTR is my overall favourite game of all-times. I used to play it days long with my friends on the PS1, it's ashame I've lost the CD for it.

Naw, tag team racing was pretty nice. But I agree, CTR is possibly the best Mario Kart clone out there. Haven't played much of it but I daresay it's better than Mario Kart itself. (Never beat the Nitrous ghost on time trial :'( )
I had Warped. It was fun. I also had a PS1 that had its own screen.

BWAAHHAHHAHAHA EHEHEHEHHEEHHAHAHAA
Fuck yeah, I used to have all the CB games on the PlayStation. Awesome games.
3rd one was my favourite. Be better if the OP was actually a megathread instead of 3 pictures with barely any text.
Warped was fucking awesome. Wumpa fruit launcher! Oh and I remember playing Crash Bash. It was fucking awesome!
Crash on PS1 = Awesome
Crash on all others after Naughty Dog stopped making it = shit
Same thing with Spyro.
Warped was fucking awesome. Wumpa fruit launcher! Oh and I remember playing Crash Bash. It was fucking awesome!
I still have all of my crash games. Crash bash is awesome to play at parties, or when you have friends round.

You can't waste your life playing Crash.

Happy now?

Everyone says Crash Bash was shite, but I thought it was fucking hilarious with friends, especially the polar bear sumo matches. God that was fun.

I'll just put this here.
Ah the days me and my mates spent playing Crash Team Racing and Crash Bash...
Played all of the Crash Bandicoot games on PS1, they were fantastic.
never played the 3rd game, but I own the first, second, crash bash, ctr and some other crash game
Which game was it that had the stage where you could burrow under the dirt? I remember somehow glitching my way out of the level with that.
Twinsanity and Crash tag team racing(the newest racing crash) were funny as hell and worth the money to me. The "remakes" of crash suck hard. In the 2 new "remakes",crash gets DIZZY from overusing his unlockable spin attack!

I do believe you mean this godly level.
