• I skinned the Repair Node and revived it as a spray

Valve posted the unskinned model of the Repair Node in their blog post so I skinned it for them. Never forget.... how shitty the Engie update could have been... Before: Valve's post, see unskinned model After: My skinned spray homage / decoy Anyone have another take on it's skin?
I like that. It's pretty nice.
If they kept the idea, this would be the skin.
I would personally think that instead of the wavelength measuring thing in the middle, it would instead be the blue clock bars (similar to the dead ringer). Just my worthless 5 moon rocks.
The tank on the side looks a bit uneven. I also see aliasing, but that might just be the preview image on the site acting up. Looks good though!
it's amazing :holy:
The grey's too pale, the repair note sign should stick out/stick in a bit more like the original dispenser, and the ring around the screen shouldn't be red. Otherwise excellent, especially considering you don't have the model.
Someone needs to model it Then Myself/someone else can create a sm plugin to go with and we can cause all the problems valve found! :D
I'll do it in about a week if nobody else does it first. [editline]04:40PM[/editline] Build anims though.

I've always thought the repair node to be small for some reason

Yah, honestly that model had to be a simple placeholder. While 'skinning' it, it just seemed too simple. Course why would they put a lot of time into the model when they are just testing the functionality. If I had to change my own design, I'd put HAL 9000's red eye into the center rather than the 'pulse'.
