So, as most of you may know, Valve has revealed that The Passing DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 will be released at the end of this month (or so they say), AND a comic about Left 4 Dead 1 survivors getting to the Passing, AND another DLC for Left 4 Dead 1. But with this recent Portal update, it shows that they are going to be (hopefully) revealing some stuff on March 11th. But not only are these things happening, but they've also teased Mac support for their games. AND they've released a beta for a new Steam GUI which is overall amazing. Is it just me or is Valve suddenly bursting with activity? It seems to me the only game that ever got any attention was Team Fortress 2.
Because the people at valve are geniuses and know just how to make their fanbase go apeshit.

They are just hyping us up for a game announcement, and it's there job to work on updates and things of that nature, it's not like they are just sitting around eating all day...
.. Okay one of them might.
Don't question it or they might stop :(
Wat.
Uh, they are constantly updating Team Fortress 2 from class updates to just regular bug fixes. Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 have seen very little attention compared to TF2, and the other games are too old that they hardly ever bother with.

I understand that, but they've never done it all at once like this. It seems kind of odd of Valve.

sorry :(
Because VALVe loves us.
Doing suddenly doing is a good thing.
Because they can.
I <3 Valve.
Wait, who doesn't :D
Because they have enough people for separate teams now, and since October 2007 all we've gotten from the half-life universe is some concept art.
Gabe cracked open a can of Beans and Beans are what is necessary to get the VALVe Team going.
They had a break till the first of March.
They've been working on something.
I'm guessing we're seeing the cumulative result of the last months/years, trickled onto the web a little but at a time because Valve knows exactly how to bait us, the fans, into a keyboard-mashing, credit-card-maxing mob.
Plus GDC is next week

TF2 was worked on it had a news blog the other day about the dispenser replacement that didn't work out. They're cramming for the engie update with this shit on their minds too.
They're trying to cover up the disappearance of episode 3.
Gabe is hungry for some apples
i hope and pray they are buttering us up for some info on Hl2 episode 3
Gabe finally got full and sick of eating so they're starting to work now. Hopefully this will last for a day or so before Gabe gets hungry again and has to eat for another year or so.
cuz its not just gabe, chet, and doug working on it... theres a whole entire team of expertees
Valve is working as they are every day like just about any other game company.
Really, do you think every time they're not making an announcement they're doing nothing but playing paper basketball in the office?
Simple Answer:
The heating broke over at the Valve offices and they're working harder to keep warm, though has a positive side effect of things getting finished. I bet it will slow down any week now, spring is coming.
Well, considering Gabe coming back from vacation, I think that he came back and did all this stuff before the game conference next week.

Are you sure about that? :v:
They are doing alot, a upcoming game announcement (Portal update), getting steam for MAC, L4D2 DLC, L4D1 comic. I thought valve was going into a slump after L4D2 release, but I can see how wrong I was.

sorry :(
No other dev has ever made his sort of effort to make their fanbase to work so hard on decoding this stuff. No other fan base has ever gone this far either to find answers.
It's because Gabe is losing weight. Everyone is happy.
Let's look at how busy they currently are.
- They are working on the Team Fortress 2 engineer update, with many item failures such as Repair Node.
-This somewhat creepy Portal update, with the radios and such.
-The passing with left 4 dead 1 and 2 which I hope is great since two casts from somewhat similar storylines will be meeting up, I suspect a love interest between two or more of the characters when they meet.
So ya quite alot going on, as qouted going "apeshit".

Nobody will ever fit the job right like Gabe does.
