You see, whenever I get to the part where [sp]Bourbon gets kidnapped and leaves you in the vents with all his stuff[/sp] I can't seem to use anything at all. I can't take out the journal, or take off my gas mask. I can't even charge my damn flashlight or pick up Bourbon's guns and his ammo. And I for certain can't use any of my weapons. I even started a new game, but the problem still arose! Now, do any of you know what the problem is? I believe the chapter is named Kahn.
Try resetting the control settings.
As in, go to controls and set it back to default.
Something similiar happened to me when I was playing Stalker.

It's not that the controls won't work, it's that my guy seems to have them holstered. And I don't think there is a unholster key.
