Pros/Cons.
Thread reason is because a friend is bumming MW2 like it's the greatest game ever and I told him it's a badly unbalanced game. He's trying to defend it like it's his only possession (and he's talking to me through steam...? :confused:)
He said in TF2 you couldn't customize weapons, well...no shit. Why would you do that?
If you are into that customize stuff anyway, I just said go into GMod and customize TF2 weapons and use them with E2. But no. GMod would've stopped being played in 2008 if Garry had stopped updating it apparently, and TFC is becoming less-popular (insert :ughh: and :downs: here. It's obvious there are now lots of Source games for everyone).
Please state your reasons here as I really can't be arsed thinking of reasons why it's unbalanced.

One man army perk is just too powerful in my opinion. He can just sit somewhere safe and bomb the shit out of people.

So no class in any mmo is unbalanced because everybody can play them.
it is VERY BAD
It's not bad but there's no reason to say it's great either. And mp isn't balanced at all.
In my opinion it's incredibly fun, but awefully unbalanced.

From what I had played, if no one is glitching, it's very balanced. I can easily use a default loadout to kill anyone be it level 70 or 1
Spend your money on Bad Company 2, you'll have much more fun.

Essentially, it's like IW regressed to the age of 5, and put everything they thought would be cool in the game, no matter how unbalanced. Remember that grenade problem in the previous call of duties? (except CoD1, which was a PC exclusive. Just sayin') Well here they balanced it as much as their tiny minds could allow: By adding grenade launchers. Of course, akll the tactic00l kids still love it, as they're too shallow to see past the XP system and achievement gathering that keeps them hooked. Buy BFBC2 even if you hate it (which you won't) it's still better than throwing money at IW and Activision for effectively farting in your face with their shitpile of a game.
I've given up trying to avoid arguments by saying 'MW2 is decent, but *I rattle off a list of the game's flaws*' so I just call it a shit game now.
It's enjoyable in it's own way but against a novce player, who don't know how to counter some strategedies, it might feel really unbalanced.
All I am going to say is grenade launcher, aka "noobtube".
The, "noobtube," is unavoidable; even in BC2.

But the grenade launcher in BC2 is only effective in enclosed spaces and is used against cover more than people. The grenade launcher in MW2 is a win button with infinite ammo if you use scavenger pro, which 90% of people do.
Get BC2, but MW2 is not unbalanced if everyone has access to the same shit. If it is really bothersome, play hardcore.

Hardcore is much more unbalanced than the normal mode.
Hardcore in BC2 is nice except some parts of the games aren't balanced for it. For one, incapacitated friendlies don't show up on your hud so it's really hard to find people to revive.

That doesn't even make sense.
There are a handful of guns that can take on absolutely anyone.
You can top the leaderboards on any match with a marathon/lightweight/commando/tacknife class.
There's also no skill bracketing. In halo, for example, it automatically pairs you with players of a similar skill level. In MW2 it's a complete medly. The first 10-20 levels are painful because 90% of the time you're up against folks who are at least twice your level and equipped with gear far superior to anything available to you.
Mech Warrior 2 is an insanely balanced game. How dare you speak out against one of the best video game series ever.

Actually most people use One Man Army for their tubing needs, which is even worse than using Scavenger because then they don't even have to run around looking for ammo. They just have to sit in one spot.
For me the game is too balanced. It's not fun when all the weapons are so similar. Get Bad Company 2 instead.

Too much content. Too mainstream.
Knifing is unbalanced. If someone uses command pro with marathon or maybe lightweight it becomes a hassle. Noobtubes are also unbalanced at times. I only use them when maybe an entire group of opponents are after me.
