So, this is my first minecraft server, but some of my best memories in minecraft were spent on the drunken miners planes server or with friends, so that's the style of server I want to create.
The server is 24/7, runs on a server in my basement, and has 16GB of ram, so we shouldn't see any problems there. I've also got plenty of bandwidth for a 15-20 player server.

Right now the server is survival with pvp on, but all that is likely to change. If you want to be added to the whitelist, pm me or post in this thread.
The server has been up just long enough for me and a friend to set up a few buildings, so the spawn town still needs built for the most part. If you want to help, go right ahead, just use common sense. Any size of building is fine, small or large.
