So I just got to level 62. This is my highest character ever. I want to do some raids and get some of that cool shiny gear you see but I have a few questions.
1. Does anyone do classic raids anymore?
2. How does one find a group to raid with?
3. Does anyone use Raid Browser?
4. Will I end up with idiots like I do in dungeon finder?
5. Is there any other classic end game stuff that I should be interested in besides raiding? It seems like level 60 should be a bit more of a mile stone than it is.
Most realms i've played do retro raids for fun. Try /join retro, see if you find anyone in there.

Look for a guild / Pugs in trade for raids, i've never seen raid browser used and go get the ZG and Strath mounts for fun / soul crushing agonising farming.
Don't waste your time with these level 60 or 70 raids. Go ahead and get level 80 because the gear will be replaced very quickly by questing items. Its not worth slowing down the leveling.

But to answer all of your questions
1. Yes, most do it for the achievements.
2. Look for people spamming trade chat, or see if your guild wants to run.
3. I believe the raid browser is for the instances tuned for your level, so i doubt anyone your level does.
4. Probably not, as most people that do it are level 80.
5. Not really anything at all.

ok sounds good. I'll just keep running dungeons and grinding quests.
I'm level 74 and on my server I've done only 2 or 3 classic raids (but it was still cool to take out Illidan). But that's only from what I noticed. I do see some people in trade chat looking for members to do classic raids and its just a bunch of 80s that usually want to run you through it.
On my DK i'm going to do Black Temple, simply for the fact it's my favourite raid. But if it's your first time levelling and you've never done any of the raids before and you don't want to do them for the nostalgia, there's no point really. Just carry on questing.
You will have a better time raiding if you just hit 80, and do the 80 end game content. You will also be better prepared for Cataclysm.
I don't see how raiding end game content will prepare you to replace everything with greens.
Actually a lot of gear does not get replaced until around 82. Having that gear makes it that much faster for leveling. Most of all the raiding gives experience.
Do you get a lot of money from raiding though?

You do get some money but it isn't a significant amount, there are much better ways to make money.
