I am new to FF's games but I all I know is FF7 rocks and FF8/9 and 11/12 are meh I never got to play FF10
reasons why I like FF7 only is because it feels more down to earth and it's a sci-fi(they use roads/normal Vehicles ) and puls a great story
now Final Fantasy 10 I have no idea if it's down the earth or not
but If I only care for FF7 would I enjoy FF10 the same or maybe even more ?
i personally found ff10 to be one of the worst ff

You'll like it. You'd probably like ff6 more though.
Also, my head is still reeling at how you can call ff7 "down to earth".
I've heard that people really consider FF10 one of the best. I wouldn't agree with FF8 and FF9 being "meh" though, since I've really enjoyed them.
X is the best period hands down no competition except MAYBE IV

Uninteresting story
FF10 Is by far the best. I love it.
FFX is quite different, but I loved it. I love all the final fantasy games though, and if you considered games other than FFVII to be mediocre, then maybe consider borrowing FFX from a friend and trying it a bit before you commit to buying it.
My favourite was FFVIII though, dunno why. Surprisingly it's the only FF game I've played that I haven't finished yet.
In terms of the first ten games, I'd say Final Fantasy X was the best after playing/watching 8 of them.
I'm not sure how it stands to the newer releases however because I stopped after X-2's shoddy gameplay. It's a classic regardless.

X-2 is just sequelitis rearing its ugly head. Avoid at all costs unless you're extremely devoted and are willing to suffer agonizing amounts of mental instability.
On-topic, FFX was unique compared to the other games. And is a giant mindscrew in and of itself. Seriously. Tidus really does feel like a more 'realistic' character since he's pretty much a teen who doesn't have a fucking clue as to what's going on and barely manages to keep above it all.
Doesn't mean he's a good one, though. :colbert:
FFX is the only one I've truly enjoyed. The worst to me was XII.
Final Fantasy 10, I believe, is one of the greatest games I've ever played.
I hated Final Fantasy 7, though.

10 is great except for shitey Yuna+Tidus Scenes.
I just hated Yuna, but the other characters are pretty cool.

7, 8 and 10 were my favorites and I think that anybody who gives 10 a chance will like it.
I personally put way too many hours into it getting all the extra stuff and finishing the sphere grid for all the characters.

FFX was the first one I played to completion, and I fucking loved it. It's a lot better than FF7 in my opinion.
Well FFX gets boring when you're grinding like hell to only have +4 spheres on your grid.
Else it's quite fun. No Sphere Grid challenge is fun too.
