Garry's Mod won't start

I need some help with Garry's Mod. I have Counter Strike:Source and Team Fortress 2, but when i started Garry's Mod, I wouldnt startup...I recently bough Half Life 2, will this help me with the game?? (I cant see for myself,because I'm at a friends house until Monday)

Well this might not be very accurate cuz im not on my computer but it think this is it:

IBM NetVista
Windows XP Home Edition
Intel Pentium 4 Processor
2.3 GHz Processor
512 MB of RAM
Intel 82845G Graphics Card

btw i know that my graphics card is terrible for gaming, so could that be the reason? ( I can play Half Life 2 and CSS on my Computer in case that helps)

Note: Very last resort, try launching Garry'smod in dx81 mode.

I can play CSS after the update, but there are some graphical errors (ex: Crosshairs dont show, cant see radar, etc)

I suggest getting a decent computer

These 2 will make it nearly if not completely unplayable.

Above post is correct; If you just want to play at a decent framerate in max settings in the OB engine just pick up a 9500GT. They're pretty cheap and can even run crysis @ medium/high with a playable framerate. Also you'll need at least 1GB + 512MB more ram (Which would give you 2GB) to have a steadier loading time etc.

Your first worry should be ram, because you need at least 1GB to install a 1GB card, and so on for following cards.
