Basically our guild isn't able of downing him. We have a group of 3 Healers, 2 Tanks, 4 Range DPS, 1 Melee DPS. - Is this a good combination? We always get too many Blood Beasts on the fight, our dps on range is 3-4k (average) Any advise how to down him? Or any good tactics/group builds? Please Facepunch, help us.
You need more DPS, basically.
3-4k is too low for Icecrown.
Especially if that's your average, one or maybe two pulling that would be bearable if the others can support them, but not if it's your average. Gear up on the new HCs and earlier ICC bosses, and maybe some ToC10/25.
4 range dps with 3-4k should be more than enough... Last week our guild did it with 2 range, though with 6-7k dps but it should be the same. Tell your range to check up some tacts, because they do something wrong...
Nevermind
We tried 2 Healers, 2 Tanks, 5 Ranged DPS, 1 Melee DPS, and we did much better. We got him down to 52%, but still we need more DPS, as you guys said. Thanks for the feedback.
ahahaha oh my lord
Your average should be 5k-6k for ICC
ahahaha oh my lord
Don't be mean Perky, we can't all pull one million DPS like you :)
If you downed the first 3 bosses with 3-4k dps, I feel like some information is missing.
If you downed the first 3 bosses with 3-4k dps, I feel like some information is missing.
The three first bosses were easy. We downed Marrowgar with first try, and lady deathwhisper with second try. Airship is the easiest, we've never wiped on him. I guess this is cause people have done them more than Saurfang. We just lack skill/DPS in our fight aginst Saurfang, thats why I need advises from you guys. I'm a healer in our group.
Get the dps doing 5k+ and sometimes we swap a healer for an extra dps.

What's been said already; get more DPS. Gear up your raid members, make a solid progression team (not just "YEAH WHOEVER WANTS TO COME, JUST SHOW UP" and take anybody) with maybe a minor rotation and make sure your DPS knows what the fuck they're doing in terms of dealing damage.
Yeah basically start some random heroics and lots of pvp and get some good gear.
Are you making sure to use slow spells like frost traps and earthbind totems? My groups never can kill him. but the actual coordinated one managed to get him to about 10% from a fomor 50% just by abusing those slow abilities. plus it helps a lot having everyone spread out evenly. course ya me and a few others were the only people geared for it TECHNICALLY but hay thats pretty damn good considering we had 2-3k dps
Saurfang can be solo healed, as the raid doesn't take all that much damage. Only reason you'd need 2 healers is to play it safe, or if you get mark of the fallen champion, or he enrages which he always does. Just gotta watch out for that berserk. The fight is also left to chance. You have good odds of downing him if the mark goes on a melee DPS, as they are just DPSing boss and don't play a HUGE role. [editline]06:56AM[/editline] So basically to increase your odds, go 2-2-2-4.
I solo heal this as Disc on my priest. If you have a Guild member that is fairly skilled with a priest, make them go Disc, all they need to do is heal tanks and shield/renew the raid. If your DPS is fairly decent, you can get him down with no marks or just one. Nothing the Priest can't handle really. My guild raids always have a setup containing 3 melee dps and 3 ranged. While the ranged take care of the blood beasts the melee can keep up the dps. Second, let your melee work out a stun rotation on the blood beasts so ranged have a little more time to dps them down before kiting. When the ranged are kiting let your tanks taunt off the beasts when they get too close to the ranged so nobody ever gets hit by them, this really works for us but your ranged need to keep up dps to take back aggro before the beasts reach the tanks.
3 healers on saurfang? they must get hella bored.

secret to blood beasts being as easy as your sister: destro lock w/ shadowfury
I usually end up shivving the blood beasts to cripple them. They don't really reach the DPS. If they can't kill the beasts within the 12 seconds of crippling poison they need to wake up.
When we did the 10man, I swear we had like, 2dps at 5-6k and the rest were at 4k ish. Somehow we got em down. Though now it's easy as hell. Then again, we can't even get Rotface down, which is some serious ... badness.
If your DPS is pulling 3k or under in ICC, they're either well undergeared or haven't even looked up proper spec, rotation, and/or gearing.
Some things my guild does: shadowfury as twitch said, boomkin wave thingy to push em back, hunter trap, earthbind totem, chains of ice (if necessary), pally stunning sometimes. A combination of two of the above should do it for you.
Arcane mage with slow, ele shammy with Push back+frost chock should work, also.
I hope he means heroic mode
Why do you hope that? What would you have to lose if he can't down him in normal mode?
