When can i join Duty in STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl?

I destroyed freedom, i did a few favors for Duty, i am "Experienced" in rank, i just game some documents that i got from the first lab, what else do i have to do before i can join?

As soon as you've done some missions the commander will reel you in, and after that you could consider yourself enlisted.

You can't join any factions but you can do missions for all of them basically. Once you reach lab 16 the Duty commander will let you into their base.

It should be fully possible to join Freedom in vanilla SoC. To the extent that it says you're with Freedom rather than free stalkers.

You can join freedom, but then, everyone at the bar is automaticly an enemy
Wich makes it pretty hard if you haven't completed those X lab missions

You can join Duty when you post in/read the megathread, but if you're reading the megathread you'll have probably realised that Duty are pricks and join Freedom instead.

Yeah ok fine if we want to be technical but whenever this happens to me my game just crashes anyway after like 30 seconds.

Well, there are zillions of Stalker Threads.

In vanilla you can't join any faction, only be friendly with em.
