once you're on the broken catwalk, put two portals down on the white areas on the floor, jump in and put a portal on the white area up on the wall that has been previously blocked by the partition

you should be flung into the office area

Alright, I'm stuck on Chamber 17 (according to the sign on the wall). [sp]I can't seem to figure it out. I can get the box to open the door, but the lift then goes up because it isn't blocking the laser. The only other way I can find to block the laser without moving the box is to knock down the camera and use that to block it, but then I can't get the lift to go up once I'm on it. [/sp] Can anyone help? I'm really not sure if this test is actually a tricky one or if I'm just stupid.

If you're really impatient or about to pull your hair out, provide a picture and the name of the map, which can be obtained by opening the developer's console.

I've tried validating Steam files, change certain launch options, launch as administrator and even used a resource monitor.

Edit: There's sometimes one file that fails to validate, but steam apparently installs it.

It seems as though when I start Portal 2, it shows the Valve intro, than after showing just the menu background picture it closes. No error, no message, nothing.

Here's my system if that helps at all.

Many people are having this problem, I think you will have to wait until Valve releases an update
