Deathknights, your most irritating thing about them? Also Deathknight Rant in General. - Games

This is quite fast threads -esque. But, for me it has to be players with names like. xxdkkillerxx Rant Time: I'm in the process of levelling a DK. I think they're a great class if played well. Unholy + 13% caster buff = yum. I don't hate Deathknights, but there are so many that aren't played well it kind of gives them alot of bad rep for the ones that actually play them well. It's annyoing. I can't join a single LFG without them saying atleast "DK..." only for me to outdps them all, which to be fair is quite easy "Outland Gear lol". In my opinion, stop the DK hate. Don't comment on them until you witness them sucking. Not every DK deserve the hate. And the one thing that annoys me the most is when people say: "Don't roll DK, we have enough of them already." What? Yes, there is alot of DK running around. But how many of them play well? We need more Deathknights. I think Paladins are the most numerous still. Rant Over. This thread may end up a flame war, locked and deleted in a few days. But that wasn't the intention of the thread. Just wanted to spread the word: "Love your Fellow DK". Also, this isn't a Troll Thread if it seems like one. TL;DR: Not every DK sucks, don't judge them until you see them suck. Stop the hate, show the love.

My problem with Death Knights is that everyone and their grandma has one and only 5% of the people who play them know what the hell what they're doing because they abandoned their mains at level 55 for the sole purpose of making a Death Knight their main.

It's the players that that level to 55 for the sole purpose of making one that shouldn't be allowed. They should make you level a class to 80 first.

their OPness when wotlk was first released helped to bring hate to the class too but since then theyve been p. well balanced

I agree, there are few people who know how to actually use the class.

They are fine if the person using it has an 80, I made it just because I was leveling 2 alts at once but not at the same places at the same time so I just have one as a death knight. They are also fun to play.

Because they were so OP on release. Players just facerolled to 80. Now it's a case of "Oh, I have to do a rotation to do dps now?"

The attraction with Dk's is they are (for the bad ones) just a case of button mashing and being self-healed. Without the self-heals I think the class in general would be better because people playing them may actualy have to try, this is most true with blood spec Dk's

Their voices are louder than normal

I've never actually played a death knight past the starting quests, they just don't appeal to me.

They either: - Death Grip the mobs from the tank - Do 500-1000 DPS less than they're supposed to - DPS in Frost Presence - Have completely molested talents - Lack behind and/or pull random mobs ahead of the tank Or a combination of any of above cases.

I am guessing the people that do that stuff fulfill another sterotype as well as the typical DK one.

I just hate the people that only have a level 80 that is a DK. I don't even have a DK because I know there is so much hate towards them lol.

They require no effort to be one. To be a good one, it's the same effort as any other class. But all other classes require substantial amounts more work to get to 80, never mind gearing up.

Annoyed me when they first came out due to how over powered they were, now it's been balanced out I don't have a problem.

The thing I hate most is that everyone starts crying when more than 1 DK joins a ICC25, I get lots of QQ, then I do 13k DPS on Saurfang and people don't even apologise. That really annoys me to no end. It's just these stereotypes that annoy me. Also get really angry when I join a random heroic in tank spec where I am with 47k unbuffed (5% random buff) and healers refuse to heal me simply because I'm a death knight. :x (Although I can surpringly well heal myself as blood, not the point though.) Gaah.

If your first 80 is a DK, shame on you And Kendra my DK has about 45k buffed in randoms, i rarely get healer QQ unless it's another bad pally. (the kinds that don't use Bacon or sacred shield)

I dunno, but on my battlegroup there's this severely annoying hate to DK tanks for some reason yet I top damage in full tank gear, not to mention if it's an easy HC and I go full DPS gear in frost presence. :x

My DK is my current main, but it's my third 80, Hunter and Priest made it first, rogue in the upper 70s now.

Planning on making my DK I'm leveling now my main and setting aside my Rogue and Mage just while I level him and then alternate between all three. The DK is a class I really am enjoying and it doesn't really feel like it has to be a guilty pleasure just because some noobs roll Death Knight. They're just the new hunters which at the time of their persecution had good players too. In reality I misjudged what you were trying to say.

My friend irl is within the top 50 (may be less) of geared players on the server and he is a DK tank, so i don't judge DK's because of their class, rather i judge them on their skill.
