Does anyone on FP make their own games? Side-scrollers, FPS, etc. Modding somewhat counts, although I'm looking for a full game. I make my own little shitty homebrew FPS games. Graphics aren't great and gameplay is meh, no AI, etc. but then again you have to understand the limitations of the engine I'm using. Here's a few screenshots of games I've made: Yeah I know, it looks really shitty and pixelated, I'm sorry. But what more do you want from a teen with some spare time on his hands? I mean I can't even make a map in Hammer, haha.
I frequently begin making RPG games in RPGMaker but never manage to finish them :/
FFStudios' awesome work.
That's actually really impressive since you just made it by yourself. Great job.
I'm skeptical about how much of that he actually made, and how much came with the engine.
Textures were by me, however the models came with the program, they use a strange format and it's impossible to model for it. Everything else was by me though.
could you tell us what you actually made?

Lol, Game maker :buddy: http://www.yoyogames.com/games/60752-pandemic-chp-1
Game Maker is a great program for novices. I also enjoy RPG Maker VX. The scripting system allows for endless possibilities, and it's just something that's fun to play around with. For full-fledged games, however, I'd definitely suggest XNA.
I frequently begin making RPG games in RPGMaker but never manage to finish them :/
I always do this. It gets annoying when you see all the unfinished ones, but I can't bring myself to delete them.
I have been experimenting for about a year coding stuff from scratch using C++ and OpenGL. Never got that far apart from making simple 2D top down games. Stopped a few months ago and decided to learn about AI programming using Prolog so I can write some decent AI for the game as well. Can't stand using other peoples engines, always prefer to do everything myself.
I'm a flash developer. http://www.foxprods.net/experimentalists/~musicfall.html

But just lost my imagination thanks to Final Fantasy 13
I make games in ZZT. It may not appeal to most since its all ASCII graphics.
Lol, Game maker :buddy:
Don't hate on Game Maker. Spelunky (aka the best game ever made) was made in Game Maker.

How about using UDK? It's actually quite simple after a few tutorials.
i once made a game called monster madness, then some other company made a game with the same name, they are lucky i didn't copyright
I'm a flash developer.
Me too, but I started in Gamemaker. Tons of engines done for all sorts of games, but online one completed and released, and its sorta shitty http://www.kongregate.com/games/FrickenHamster/soup-kitchen The one im currently working on is pretty extensive, as A* pathfinding and everything. I just don't have any time to work on it because of AP classes.
Actually, I'd love one.
Here's the Filefront download (it's an installer, you don't have to unzip or unRAR anything) http://www.filefront.com/14571097/Zombie-Nation-2-FULL.exe/
Been fucking with gamemake recently. I tried to make a scaled earth-moon orbit model. I spent a fair while doing (fairly simple) calculations to work out scale and such, and I finally got everything together after loads of testing, hit play, and watched the moon promptly move really fuckin slow. I forgot the moon takes 28 days to go around the earth.

I use BYOND, it's the only thing I can be assed to learn. The tile based shit is annoying, but you can make some unique games if you actually try, like Space Station 13.
