It's not free roam. and it seems to be far from generic. I love the game.
think of it as stalker with very high production values, but large amounts of better.

Yes because Half-Life 2 was a game highly prone to piracy that received almost zero sales.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I would say is the better one, however Metro is unique in its own way.
Stop comparing a shit game to Metro 2033.
fucking fantastic game, it's a lot more atmospheric than STALKER however you can get a lot more playtime out of stalker because its not linear.

well half life 2 was a pretty terrible game that i regret buying.

Half life 2's gameplay might have been generic shooter fare. but the story is deeper and more detailed than most games today which is why its hailed as an awesome game in the eyes of many.

Half life suffers from the same issue as the Killzone series, anything interesting storywise isn't explored in the game but is explored in nice detail online. Good backstory, bad story. At least that's how I felt about it :v:
Well I thought it was an awesome game, I still enjoy it today. The Half-Life universe is cool and all but metro 2033 is more fascinating.

Anyone know if theres multiple endings? I just beat it and theres still several secret achievments locked. was just wondering.

STALKER is awesome.
(So far, just started) Metro is awesome. uses alot of stalker sounds. I lol when I hear stalker sounds.
I was playing at 5pm. thought "well Im just going to play for an hour" [highlight]BAM[/highlight] its 8pm. Shows that its fun enough to not get bored.
p.s. Invest in some silenced weaponry. :buddy:
Metro has it's good humor sometimes in the game.
Loving [sp] Bourbon, and his comments, especially when we arrive at the Market, after fighting the mutants, and one of the guards notice him. Bourbon then says "We are in the shittier now" or something like that.
I laughed hard at D6 with Ulma making jokes and then using the intercom to screw around.
I also remember when I was at the Market, and I was watching a begger telling a kid that if he brought a sandwich or bullet, he would tell a story. The kid then said if the begger would tell him what the story was about, he would get him a sandwich. The begger agree'd, and told him almost the whole plot in one sentence. . Then something like this happens.
"Well, you going to get me the sandwich?"
"Nope, I already know everything. "*Starts to run away.*
"DAM YOU BRAT!"[/sp]
No. Good story but it pisses me off so much, like how at one level I need a gas mask but i'm out of air and there is no way to get more so its just an endless cycle of death... I understand that its something thats my fault, but I should be able to get more air in my gas mask at the beginning of every level that you need a gas mask for.
