My brother has been playing WoW for around ~1.5 years now, so naturally he has quite a few high level characters. He also has ~80k gold. The first time he got hacked he somehow got a keylogger and whoever hacked him used it to log into his account and erase some of his characters/rename them. This time they completely got his account banned, so he has to call Blizzard. What gives? Why do people want to hack my brother so much? It's only been ~2 months since he was hacked last. Also, I don't play WoW so i don't see what the big deal about the gold is.
He only goes on WoW and MMOChan.
Is there any way he could make it so people won't hack him?

It's been said countless times that your account isn't being "Hacked", but it's information is being found. Many people who play World Of Warcraft are in a guild that owns some sort of forum board, and many of those guilds have outdated board versions. It's a simple script kiddie process that allows you to bring up an entire list of everyone's username, password, email, etc. on that board.
The solution: Make sure your World Of Warcraft password is completely unique. Do not use it anywhere else.
If your brother knows the price of gold, he visited a gold-selling website, which often contain keyloggers and trojans.

Like yeasterday I saw a guy get hacked. i watched him stand there dissenchanting his gear. Then he was selling gems 1/3 of what it cost on Ah and he was selling a mechano hog for 7k gold. I was 2 seconds too late to buy it.. I did however get 8 uncut somethings for 500g, and on AH one of those cost 200g heh..
