Looking for a PS3/360 game that went totally under the radar.

I've just suddenly been hit with flash backs of playing an excellent game a few years back where you play as a boy or a girl (I cant remember which) in some kind of fantasy world. The player finds a giant sleeping in some sort of grotto and after you wake him up he helps you to solve puzzles, progress through levels and fight enemies. I remembers somthing about a shadowy force either taking over the world or it already had done. It's really bugging me and I cannot for the life of me remember what it's called, I also dont remember if it was a PS3 or 360 exclusive or multiplatform
