What is it ? Stickman Murder Mysteries is an extremely old, browser-based point-and-click adventure game where you play as a homicide detective investigating and solving murders. You explore Stickville finding clues that lead onto solving the case. Your angry-pink skinned smoking chief demands you solve the case, and in order to do so, you must find the killer, the murder weapons, the motive, and other evidence that helps prove whatever you're thinking. You start the game talking to him, and end talking to him, explaining your theory of the events of the murder. As you continue on, finding more clues and slowly unravelling the case, you'll begin to discover what truly happened and how the events played out. Cases In this game series, there are only 5 episodes/cases to play. As you progress through each one, they get harder and harder. The titles are pretty self explanatory, but yeah. You can click on the images to be lead directly to the beginning of the case. You must find out who did this atrocious crime! This case is a good, simple, and easy one, and gives off the general feeling of Stickman Murder Mysteries. Drowning at Stickville River In this case, someone has drowned at the stickville river! At first, it appears to be as though a drunken driver crashed his car into the river and drowned- but oh no, the fucking coroner has decided to mark this case 'unusual'. So you gotta investigate. Fucking coroner. Is this a homicide, or was someone just being a drunken fool? Well, play and find out. But I think we all know the answer. Cadaver at Stickville Dump Someone has been found dead at the dump! Only, the crime occurred... six years ago! Two boys have found the body of a dead sixteen year old in the dump, and it's up to you to find out what happened. Arson in Stickville Someone has been burned to death in Stickville! A woman, who was reported missing a few weeks ago, has been found dead in a burned building! The only sign of the corpse being hers is her dental records. Who knows what caused this fire. Could've been an accident. Wait- nope, the damn fire department has labelled it 'highly suspicious', so, as usual, you must investigate whether or not it was an arson, and how it happened. Manslaughter in Stickville This time, an officer has been murdered. It looks like he was hit by a sixteen wheeler truck on the highway. The driver is suspected to be drunk at the time of the murder, and it's up to you to find out whether or not it was "a case of DWI, reckless homicide or just an unfortunate accident." I don't know if anyone else has played this, or whether or not it's even popular, but I highly suggest playing it, it's a good time killer and it's certainly interesting. The game consists of HTML pages with hand-drawn images on them and buttons over text or images, and maybe a sound clip using QuickTime. Everytime you click on a button, it'll direct you to the a seperate HTML page, and so on. Although a bit inefficient, it's very simple and a lot of fun. Though recently, there are a few broken links. If you stumble across them, post them here, we might be able to help! Despite it's name, there are little to no stickmen present in the game. The game plays out a bit like the investigation portion in the Ace Attorney series, so if you liked Ace Attorney, you'll probably like this. Because it is HTML-Based, there is no "saved progress", and all the progress you make is inside your head. There is no overarching plot or storyline, so each case is standalone and does not require you to play the previous one. As such, there are few consistent characters and no character development, so you'll just be investigating deaths. It's not all about solving the case, though, sometimes there's just random stuff you can do, like visit the shooting range or visiting the donut shop. Often, important facts will be highlighted, and it's probably in your best interest to write them down somewhere or know the details, as these are probably the case-solving details. Also, I'm sorry if this thread seems stupid. I just wanted to spark some discussion on it, as I was recently reminded of it and it has always held a warm spot in my heart. I highly suggest you play it, it's a lot of fun. Off you go, play the game and discuss it here! Get stuck? Ask for help here if you need, but spoiler tag your stuff and be very specific about what you're spoiler tagging.
