The theme for this competition was to "calla dootify" a retro game:
How about "The COD effect"? You take an existing popular game like pong or pacman and add explosions, lens flare, loud and annoying announcers, post processing, kill streaks, flare, perks, hats, day one DLC etc etc
Just like every time, we had a bunch of participants and very few entries. Here's the ones that were finished:
I'm uploading my entry now, but its going to take a while to upload both the windows and linux builds (no OSX build because Unity won't compile it). I'll post the links to the build when I wake up, but here's some pictures in the meantime:

Unfortunately, its no where near as complete as I'd have liked it to be. I lost a week because of assignments, and I lost more time earlier this week because of another assignment. I couldn't get the music-based gamemode done, so if you select it it'll just play the regular game with randomized colours. There's also no sound effects on anything except the menu because it was impossible to find some fitting sound effects that I liked that were also free, there's a little bit of music, but I'd advise muting it in the options menu :v: The continue button is also really glitchy, so try not to rely on it. But it was fun working on this, and I might continue with it but idk yet. Let me know if you find any bugs, there's bound to be a lot of them.
Download: Windows Linux
Well, this was a fun one, and I actually got something workable out of it (unlike the last competition, which we shall all never speak of again). I have no fancy title, nor do I have any sound or music for it, unfortunately, but regardless of that, I present to you all, the horribly named: Call Zelduty. Block Ops is way too fucking hard. [editline]12th May 2013[/editline] Rotation is also broken as far as I can tell.
How much time do we have to try these games and vote ?
How much time do we have to try these games and vote ?
Oh right, I should put that in the post. Next Monday, the 20th, a week from today.
For a moment I believed the chat was real in Call Zelduty, until I realized that there was no chat-key nor did I enter an username.
Block Ops is way too fucking hard. [editline]12th May 2013[/editline] Rotation is also broken as far as I can tell.
At least I'll have a chance at getting 4th place, and that's all I ever asked for. :^(
There's 4 entries, so someone will be getting Arcadia. [editline]12th May 2013[/editline] I got to shadow link in call zeduty and then it crashed
Damn, I was thinking this thread was actual programming but i guess that would be in the programming section. Nice Selection of games, you've got there.
Polls close at the end of today (GMT), so get those last minute votes in!
I see no way to end the poll now, so I'm just going to mark them down. In first place: Missile Command, by NinjaWilko, with 28 votes. Second place: Call Zelduty, by Ramen, with 13 votes. Third place: Star Wars, by nomad1, with 3 votes. Fourth place: Block Ops: Zombies, by Hentie with 2 votes.
