I'm a BM troll hunter on the Alterac Mountains realm. I've been trying to level up fast to no avail. Any suggestions?
Kill things.
Do quests.
Repeat.
Also queue for instances and Battlegrounds (Especially if it's call to arms)
-Get heirlooms if you have an 80. Chest and shoulders = 20% more xp from everything you do.
-Don't group with people, unless you are doing a group quest.
-Have a shit ton of dungeon quests needed to be done? Have a lvl 80 run you through the instance.
-QUEST QUEST QUEST. Best way to level. Just don't stop. Again, don't group with people on quests.
-Don't do battlegrounds and shit, those slow down your xp growth.

It breaks up the monotony a little bit. It's also very good XP if it's call to arms.
On call to arms alterac valley I went from 51-60 in a few hours.

Well you can try to get a hold on Zygor Levling Guide
It's a really good guide, thing is that if you've done for example 25% of the quests in Tanaris or whatever, you can't skip to where you are. You gotta go from 1-80 if your gonna use it, or perhaps when your starting a new zone, works aswell.
Don't try to race. Level as much as you want per day then stop playing. A guildies friend that just bought WoW and the expansions for $90 got to 73 and quit because he got there fast but is completely burned out on the game. Take it easy, remember that it is just a game. Turn your mind off or focus on other things while questing through zones. Half the time I spend leveling a character is spent in windowed mode with Firefox open.

This is the reason I always come back, reroll, and cut my subscription before the month is up.

How can you get burned out on the game when you haven't even experienced most of it? My friend created a character last week and is already around level 75, but knows leveling isn't the whole game.

wtf
i bet your friend already has an 80 (or two), thus knows what is to come. You're comparing an experienced player to someone who probably experienced nothing but (rather dull) leveling.
