Hey guys just thought i'd share something with you guys, I'm currently doing a let's play on portal 2. This doesn't matter. The second game is much harder, plus you need to play the game and know the game for a successful LP.
How pretentious do you have to be to do something like this? I'll be impressed when you truly bring something ground-breaking to the table but knowing the nature of LPs there won't be anything more ground-breaking than being the first one to do it. Make a machinima or something, trust me on the fact that many people would appreciate that more than yet another LP.

Read this, it'll help save your life kid, and it doesn't fucking matter if you've waited 4 months, it's still week one lp of a game that just came out. There is no justified reason to even make a video as there's a million camcorder and generally bad portal 2 lps already.
What would a portal 2 lp accomplish anyway? Solve the puzzles for everyone? Watch you hopelessly stuck in a room going "Hm where do I place this portal sorry guys brb need to look this one up!" or just quoting the last thing glados said or laughing obnoxiously at her jokes? This is a bad idea though, 4 months or not, don't fucking do it.
I still honestly don't get the three month rule. Surely it can't be to avoid spoilers?
How am i meant to know EVERYONE was going to do it. I was 2 days late for my first LP episode and all the codfags on youtube were already doing it.

A: Spamming youtube with GUYSGUYS PORTAL 2 IS OUT LOL I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO PLAY ISN'T IT FUN WATCHING ME STARE AT A WALL AND NOT GET WHAT TO DO??? WACKY.
It's so people have a chance to play the game themselves, and gives enough time for people to learn about the game before making a video so it's not just some asshole making the cake is a lie jokes while failing a test chamber constantly.
Games like Portal isn't even good LP material, it's a puzzle game where there is only one solution to each puzzle, watching a let's play let alone playthrough of it means there's no reason to try it out yourself as you now know everything and there's no variation. It's just a bad idea as a whole for the puzzle genre.
Also Master of Audio that is the dumbest goddamn excuse I've seen, it's a insanely popular game hyped up for days at a time let alone a valve game, that's like shitting out "I DIDN'T KNOW CALL OF DUTY WAS POPULAR I THOUGHT I WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO DO IT". It's a bad idea, period.
