The developers, Neowiz Games, were permitted and worked alongside the creator of the series 'Battlefield' (the developer in question is EA) to create Battlefield: Online. The game uses the same modified version of the Refractor Engine that was used in Battlefield 2142. Unlike Battlefield 2, the game has shown support for 100-man battles and is currently in second beta. If you do wish to do so, you can explain to me what the site says because I don't understand Korean. Here is the site in question http://bfo.pmang.com/ Requirements include a Pentium 4, a gigabyte of RAM and at least a Geforce 6200.
It feels good to have a pmang account. Although, I'm not sure this would be any fun.
Hasn't Battlefield always been 'Online' though.
EA published, DICE developed :eng101:
OP, google chrome's translator did a decent job of giving me a gist of what the page is about. Something like that could work.
Isn't Battlefield Heroes free?
Isn't Battlefield Heroes free?
It was "free" in the EA's version of free you can play for free it's just unless you pay up normally you'll just get raped by people that paid for weapons that will kill you in seconds. Shame as well since battlefield heroes was great when it first came out but over time the payment rewards became stronger and stronger until you were pretty much screwed unless you paid.
Free2Play in a game based highly on metagame doesn't work. It's probably going to turn out to be as shitty as BFH (After they changed the pricing model) where people who pay get overpowered equipment. You have to play 24 hours to buy a gun for one day with VP. It really is a shame, their original model was such a huge success. They racked in money, and when EA saw how successful the pricing model was, they turned on turbo-drive money whoring mode.
Hey hey maybe we can sneak in while they're all distracted by Starcraft 2 and mess around
Is anyone actually planning on trying it at all?
Has anyone played this? No one has really talked about the game. ^ - You motherfucker. :v: Also... What buttons do I press to download it.. D:
You have to have a Korean SSN to register with the site. The registration is also browser locked to IE (ew). Do we have any Korean natives willing to give us a peak? Also if you were wondering, download button one is direct, button 2 is their download manager.
Download Link. Click "Download 1" or "Download 2" or maybe, just maybe, you need both.
I see Download 1, and Download 2, I'm not sure if those are parts, or mirrors.. Plus what are all the buttons near the bottom for, under nVIDIA and ATi, and under those as well.. [editline]09:30AM[/editline] Fuck me, I have to log in? How the hell do I do that?

Korea, you and your free FPSs.
It's gonna be BF2 with lag and paid weapons. No thanks.
Does not want.
I kind of want to see where this goes. Alliance of Valiant Arms was by the same developers and that was actually great fun.
I hope this isnt shit like BF: Rich heroes or NFS Rich World
This could be interesting
Lost hope at "Korean"
This probably end up being plagued by hackers.
Lost hope at "Korean"
mhmm
http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fbfo.pmang.com%2F&sl=ko&tl=en&hl=&ie=UTF-8 translated page, looks like shit.
It's probably not free. It's going to be filled with microtransactions like all Korean "Free to Play" games.
Any pictures/videos?
There only videos are shitty cartoons that explain nothing about the game.. This will be bad. [editline]02:47PM[/editline] Oh wow, they made a dumb cinematic about Russia and the USA fighting each other. The funny thing is the cinematic isn't even made in the game engine.
I wanna see some gameplay!
The closest thing they have to gameplay is this. Which shows absolutely no game play just an animation made in something other then the game engine.
