What happened to all the scientists and guards who survived the Black Mesa incident? - Games

Since I have beaten HL, BS, OF, HL2 and EP1 I still ask myself this question. What happened to them? The only scientist you find in the HL2 series is Kleiner, and the only guard is Barney. Please i´d like you to discuss this, I have already checked the combine overwiki but it didn´t work. Thanks.

The ones who escaped probably encountered the combine, or just got killed by the nuke

I assume you mean Rosenberg, Walter, and Simmons? Nobody knows because it's never explained.

You notice how the [B]scientists[/B] are always hiding (Kleiner on his secret lab, Eli on Black Mesa East), and Barney is undercover with Civil Protection. Probably the Combine wanted to shoot down every Black Mesa survivor. Or perhaps Breen ordered them to do that, in fear of something going wrong.

I dont think 90% of the people who worked there died!

It's ironic actually... After the teleporter incident, there are 2 cityscanners, but before Kleiner can close his shades, they take a picture. You would think the combine cared about a secret lab...

And quite a lot of people just stayed in locked rooms until either aliens/The military/The Nuclear bomb got them.

They turned into combines and headcrab zombies.

Some probably became citizens, some went into hiding, some escaped to the country side or some shit and the others were combine-ised.

Seven hour war happened. There were probably little survivors seeing as there are barely any elderly in half life 2.

He was the only scientist that needed to stop for a rest when he was following you. Considering that HL2 takes place about 20 years later, he may very well have died of old age.

According to Eli she was trying to get Gordon's job back then. She also says it would have been an honor to be working with Eli and them when they were at the top of their fields.

What are you talking about? Most black mesa personnel were unable to crouch, get over boxes, unless they found a staircase to the surface survival is unlikely.

The vorts... Well... Who cares? They were probably freed from Nilianth's rule, became enslaved by the Combine, then most likely broke free from [I]their[/I] rule, and then to help the humans.
