In Hl1 (not source) when i go to anywhere i have to load, it just freezes, and i know something is wrong because ctrl alt delete> taskmanager and hl.exe is not responding. i have to restart my computer to be able to go on but then after a while it freezes again.
Reinstall?
I really don't want to ask for your computer specs/graphics card because a common forest tree could probably run HL1, but, hey, you never know.
now its making me uninstall BS, OF and TFC just to reinstall Hl :(

still didn't work after reinstall.
Try changing your render mode in video options. That fixed it for me.
