Made directly from the files in the VPKs, minus a couple that had to ripped from Youtube due to their full versions not being in the game (like Investment Opportunities). A lot of them were in different parts due to the dynamic music system, some were in layers and some were in sequential parts, so I tried my best to piece all them together so they sounded nice. Feel free to reupload.

Ones you'll probably like a lot: 19 - Fake Accents, 38 - The Part Where He Kills You, and 39 - Final Showdown. All the rest are really good too, especially the ones around the old testing facility. Tried to include everything (memorable) I could without having way too many songs, and I already have 50, so... Yeah. Enjoy!

And my edit based on this soundtrack:
EDIT: Dropbox links added

Spoilers ahead, If you haven't played Portal 2, Why are you looking at the soundtrack?
Yes, people. Another unofficial soundtrack. You may be wondering: "why? We already have Dvondrake's soundtrack and t h e's soundtrack aswell, what makes yours different and worthy listening to?" Well, before you go on let me answer your question: It's "edited". If you usually listen to music per album and not per track, you may find the already posted P2's soundtrack not appealing. Mostly because most tracks end with abrupt cuts (This happens because they made a "dynamic" soundtrack for Portal 2 so if you took a while to solve the puzzles you wouldn't end up without the thrilling music, and the music loops perfectly) and there are many tracks that are too short and similar to others so they don't really make sense.
So, what did I do? I took Dvondrake's Soundtrack and edited it to sound more like an album and not like a bunch of tracks put together. I stiched some tracks together, added continuity between some tracks, added fade out effects to some tracks, changed the order of tracks and took out a few.
Because my soundtrack as a whole has 39 tracks I divided it in 5 "acts". Which I'll show you right ahead. I organized the Acts depending on what part of the story the track appears, but a few appear later than they should just because of the style etc... Each act lasts around 18 minutes, some less.
I also put as a download the soundtrack as a whole, and if you're not a "soundtrack freak" I made a compilation of the very best of Portal 2's soundtrack.
All acts, and compilations have their proper covers, title, album, composer, track number tagged.
Please keep in mind this is intended for listening, If you want the soundtrack to use it as a resource to make videos or whatever I recommend the unedited from t h e or the above posted.
The acts are:

Again, I made this for listening purposes, not to be used as a resource (video editing, background music) and for the people who likes to listen music per album. Tell me what you think about it, and thanks whoever extracted these tracks in the first place.
Awesome!
i'm humoring you and downloading this but find a better file host than goddamn slow mediafire
try dropbox, very convenient drag and drop uploading/storage to a folder on your computer
edit
I didn't really care for the changes to the music but thats just my opinion (the changes to the turret song are garbage though and whats with the 2 minutes of silence in that file)

I was going to use dropbox, but I forsaw my files getting disabled for having a lot of traffic. Anyways, I'll put them on my dropbox. Expect to have the links tomorrow.
i wish it was on youtube, or sound cloud
Amazing work. Downloading.
i wish it was on youtube, or sound cloud
I might be putting it on soundcloud, but later.
You really fucked up on 'The Fat Lady Sings', it's my favorite track in Portal 2, and all you have done is put the original song (you can still hear the elevator) followed by more than 2 minutes of pure silence, followed by some stupid and highly irritating humming section until it ends.
Not impressed at all.
Another guy had about 50 songs in his unnofficial sountrack, I'll stick with that.
Sad that his version won't get noticed. He posted it in the general portal 2 thread.

It's Dvondrake's version. There is really no "raw" version of this song. It was extracted from the CGI Video. And I put "Turrets vs. lasers" at the end as a hidden track, just because it sounded fun. Well, you could just pause it when the song ends. But it's not really my fault.

This version is based on that one. The thing is that I ended up with 39 tracks because I merged some together that didn't make sense as separate tracks, I also left out like 2 or 3 tracks, but you're getting the same in this version.
And if anyone else has a soundtrack version you should post it in here, in case someone needs unedited versions.
Also take your (C) off the picture, you didn't make any of the songs, you only extracted them from the VPK's

what? where? you mean on the banner? That's my last name, Andrés C. (Canelones).
I think you didn't get the purpose of this. I took someone else's compillation and edited it so it would sound more like an album and not just a bunch of tracks put together. No need to bash me for it.

Uh so you didn't bother extracting anything, you just downloaded someone elses compiliation then mashed a few songs and left some out? Uhhhhh
It would really help a lot if you spelt, "Mike Morasky" correctly. It's not, "Mike Moraksy" or "Mike Marasky".
Is Proof of Intelligence just the classic version? I have yet to find a soundtrack that mixes both the classical and techno version.
it's the classical. i've heard the techno version, but i can't find it.
sorry about the typo in mike's last name, but is a pain in the ass to reupload it just to fix that, if it really bothers you you can change it with a program like mp3tag, it's really easy.
I believe the name Moondust of one of the tracks is a bit misleading.
I expected it to be the track that plays after you [sp]open the portal to the moon and get sucked in[/sp], but it's the song that plays before that, when you go to the stalemate button.
I believe it should be renamed to something more suggestive like The Stalemate Button or The Final Part.
gee sorry man, I got the credits wrong. I'll make it up to you, I'm sure it took you a long time, and I never intended to leave you uncredited. as soon as I get home I'll put your whole soundtrack in the OP before mine. and yes, these are your tracks I used.
How did you guys come up with the names?
I can't come up with any for my revision, mostly since I forget when the music played. (sorry if it seems like I'm just copying all)
It's possible to fade out the abrupt cuts, too.
Hi, that's me. Also thanks for your cover art.
Indeed he did it seems.
No credit to me? Gee thanks, I can clearly see you took some of them directly from mine seeing as the titles are exactly the same.
After listening, yeah great these are exactly mine. I don't know who the fuck Max is but he can piss off because he sure as hell ain't me.
All you did was paste everything that I did together and call it yours. You didn't even credit the right person for all the work.
Not only did I figure out what track was from where in the game, I had to mix all the dynamic tracks together both in different channels and in 'chunks' that I had to find transitions for.
I spent hours putting mine together and you took about maybe 5 minutes.
Please remove your OP, you really don't deserve it.
I'll post my own thread once you've done that, and you can post your edit in mine.
I think that sounds fair.

this is the one I like
maybe Bomb Flings should be renamed though, I might be wrong, but isn't it the song played while bouncing on blue gel?
what's the name of the song that plays on the ps3 home screen when hovering over portal 2
i know nobody plays on ps3 but whatever
I love you.

I do wonder what that font is.

The font is "DIN". It's a font created by the german estandarization organism to mark all industry related artifacts with it. I'll give you a link...

there you go.

No problem mate.
Also, bartool it'd be better if you just snipped your post, making this thread is just a huge douchebaggery move.
(also sorry dvondrake for forgetting your name)
[editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
edit didn't see the op edit, it's up to dvondrake really.
You guys are making me want to make a thread
Probably not worth it since mine was only bashed on for spelling unofficial wrong <- haha.
Oh wow when does the 'Caroline' song play?

post yours here.
Just so that you're aware, you spelled Mike Morasky incorrectly on around 5 tracks, thus confusing Windows Media Player.
Might I recommend Valve Studio Orchestra, as that's what they usually put.
[editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
Infact, forego the Album Artist and change Contributing Artist to Valve Studio Orchestra.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
