So im coming back to WoW after about 6 months, i have a level 80 Ele Shaman but got bored of it so i was wondering what is the fastest leveling class. I dont care about difficulty i just want to level quick and have some fun. So any suggestions ?
Hunter.
hunter or ret paladin (later on)
choose wisely
Ret paladin was lots of fun
death knight is easy and fast aswell.
Priest :smug:
locks are decent too, not as fast as hunters but still up there
Hmm paladin seems interesting but its just the amount of them there are puts me off.
Ebay.

Better be disc or shadow. I only throw disc out there because of random groups.
Well i think ill go prot paladin but dunno what race, definately not Belf.

if you're trying to level fast don't go prot
Retribution is the Paladin's spec and will maximize your damage etc.
Prot Paladins are the slowest levelers. They do so little damage.
I was thinking about dungeon queing which would be easier with a prot paladin but i guess ill level with ret until say 40 then tank, ive wanted to see what tanking is like for quite a while. Looks interesting and challenging.

Only level through the dungeon finder system if you have a dedicated healer friend. Healer + tank = instant queues all the way through. But there may be some time wasted if it's just you; healers are fairly rare also-- especially in low level brackets.
If you don't have a healer friend: play as ret and quest while in queue (which will pop rarely)
If you do have a healer friend: play as prot and simply sit in a city and queue all day long. It's really quite simple and it's rather quick, and easy. Questing as ret may be faster if you know what you're doing, though.
Oh i see, may have to encourage one of my friend's to start again then. Thanks.

Get a friend to roll a Druid.
With a Protection Paladin and a Restoration Druid you'll find that all of the low level dungeons are unreasonably simple. As long as you have any idea what you're doing.
any class with recruit a friend
any class with recruit a friend
namely healer/tank combo
I made a priest in the end, my friend went prot paladin so we are leveling rather quick with the dungeon finder. I do have one question though, Holy or Disc Spec ? And which is better for 80 ?
Depends.
Disc for 5mans or tank healing in raids.
Holy for raid healing. Also acceptable for healing tanks in raids.

What?! when I leveled my prot paladin, (before dungeon finder) I could pull like, 15 enemies at once and aoe them down.
Looks like im rolling Disc then :D, thanks, any recommended builds ?
warlock warlock WARLOCK
If you choose the proper build and appropriate gear (boa's are not necessary but they are very helpful - all spellpower right from level 1) certain affliction builds can be MACHINES. I leveled my lock extremely quickly.
The strategy is to run into a group of mobs, put corruption and agony on all of them (dot dot tab) and heal yourself if necessary via drain life. The siphon life talent keeps you alive as it heals you for 50% of your corruption's damage (with glyph of siphon life) so effectively, your damage and healing is one and the same. This is where the spellpower comes into play - not only does spellpower add damage, but it also increases your self-healing. This, combined with the warlock's other survival skills, effectively make you invincible against large groups of green mobs (yellow mobs hit too hard to be able to take on in large numbers). The warlock is therefore the only class that can run into a camp of ten mobs with 30% life and mana and emerge with a ring of corpses around them and full/almost full health and mana.
Another benefit of this strategy is that since you're tanking the mobs yourself and you're killing many at a time, large clumps of corpses build up literally at your feet and you don't have to run to loot every single one. This makes for much more efficient questing.
I highly highly recommend you read this link as it explains everything you need to know. I was VERY satisfied with this approach and if you do it right you will be too.

Hunter/Shadow priest works well too, provided hunter picks up a tank pet

Sorry, I should have clarified if whether you'd be using the dungeon system primarily or actually questing
I recently did a warr/priest combo with my roommate.

You were doing it wrong. DK/Pally/Warrior i leveled as tanks, and they were all damn fast, pull packs and aoe, then solo elites.

Very helpful, i currently have a warlock which i dont play anymore but this has encouraged me to play it again.
tauren hunter
Any class will work you just need a case of red bull and about a week straight of grinding to 80. That's the quickest way imo.

Yeah i'm currently off and on leveling my lock, and that strategy is working pretty well
