So, this is starting to piss me off. I own Half-Life Deathmatch: Source, which needs Half-Life: Source to run, but I don't own HL:S and HLD:S runs fine. Why doesen't Valve/Steam just give me HL:S? I have it completly installed, but don't own it...
Anyone else in my position?
Well kinda, I have another account with the anthology pack on it and all the games I have installed there are listed as "pre-loads" on my main account. Ugh, it takes up so much space.

Well the problem is that I got HLD:S with HL2 I believe but they didn't include HL:S, and I just looked at the Steam Store Page for it and it dosen't seem that you can buy it alone... Great.

HLDM:S is given for free to users who meet some sort of hardware requirement, like HL2DM being given to users with Nvidia graphics cards. You aren't getting HL:S because you haven't purchased it, so it remains preloaded in your library, which means you get the content to use HLDM:S, but that's it.
I've got HLDM:S, I can play it, but I don't have HL:S.
Someone wanna gift me HL:S pretty much to see if the graphics are improved :buddy:

They aren't, not without the Half-Life Improvement Team's and the HL:S Enhanced team's help.

Ragdolls too right? Just get regular HL since Sven Coop works with it (I'm under the impression that HL:S doesn't work with it).
