Why arent there any skins for Alien Swarm yet?
Is there a particular reason or are people just lazy, in my opinion skins for Alien Swarm would be great!
Maybe because they are still a wip?

The VPK add-on system in Alien Swarm doesn't support custom skins or models. The only way to get either into the game is by manual pak01_dir.vpk editing which, in my experience, I've found that not one single person in the world likes. Regardless, Valve will likely disable that too once they catch wind of it.

Actually ferdam found a way to use custom models without editing pak01_dir.vpk, which I used in my WH40K space marine skins.

Skins are good, but they need to update the menu to match the characters as well
Probaly because no one realy saw every bit of the models and textures.
