About the Game
Neo-paris. 2084. Personal memories can now be digitised, bought, sold and traded. The last remnants of privacy and intimacy have been swept away in what appears to be a logical progression of the explosive growth of social networks at the beginning of the 21st century. The citizens themselves have accepted this surveillance society in exchange for the comfort only smart technology can provide. This memory economy gives immense power over society to just a handful of people. Remember Me™ is a 3rd person action adventure where players take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and capabilities arrested Nilin and wiped her memory clean. After her escape from prison, Nilin sets out on a mission to recover her identity, helped by her last and only friend. This search for her past leads to her being hunted by the very people that created this surveillance society. You got the threads mixed up
Why the hell are all the screenshots and 2 of the videos of GRID 2?
Stole the memories of a racing car driver.
I WILL FIX IT, sorry.
Wow for a game like this there's an awful lot of race side missions.
Wow for a game like this there's an awful lot of race side missions.
Super Memory Kart. I am interested in Remember Me. I saw it in that ridiculous list of best games of the year or some shit where half the games hadn't even been released and it caught my eye. I think it sounds awesome.
That was more annoying that it should've been. I had 2 text files but kept pasting copying, never again will I create 2 thread at the same time.

I played the demo for this (Along with Grid 2, which I think I've mentioned somewhere is pretty bad) a lot at the Gadget show live this year cause I was exhbiting with a ton of spare time. From the demo capcom were showing, this is an exceptionally average game. It has a neat look to it, but the gameplay is nothing we haven't seen before and has been done better in other places. The running around was janky and the combat was just "good".
Aha, it's one of those games that look cool but aren't.
Well I think its worth a play if you like this kind of third person, platforming action thing. It feels like an mix of Assassins Creed and Arkham City but it isn't as fluid as both of those or as fun. I would say don't pre-order this but if you find it for like £10-15 it would be worth the try.

I will probably pre-order it anyway because I like giving every game a try. Even the most terrible ones, I don't know, I can't escape the thoughts about how the devs have worked for so long :v:
The art style reminds me of another game. Is this some sort of assassin game?
For some reason I think it isn't a bad a game but it just didn't click with me. Both the gameplay and art style have something unique to them but I just can't see myself playing it. Maybe once it's released I'll change my opinion based on people's reactions.
Bump because the game just came out. So how is it? I only watched few walkthrough videos and the game looks nice but the fighting seems not very exciting.
currently at episode 6 and the game is just ugh. so far here's what i got plot: 4/10 they introduce characters you think are important, and then they just sort of disappear and you never see or hear them again for a long time. also cliche character is amnesiac, looking for her memories, fighting against the privileged, etc. combat: 4/10 gets really stale. tries to copy batman's combat with the dodge mechanic and stringing combos but it doesn't really work out in the end. they also introduce enemies that reflect back damage to you and the only way to kill them is to constantly use healing moves which barely tickle them. sound: 3/10 sometimes you hear garbled music, other times you hear distorted music. setting: 7/10 interesting world, too bad not enough is shown. overall: 6/10 wait for a large price drop or rent it. an issue i have with the game is the really shit camera and the god awful tether mechanic you get in the middle of the game. a lot of the progression points in the game are located above where your camera is normally situated and defaulted at so you're constantly having to look up while fighting against the camera automatically wanting to look straight down at the ground. the tether mechanic itself is okay i guess if you're playing with a controller, but if you're playing with kb+m the speed of the object at which you're trying to move with the tether is linked to your mouse sensitivity, so you're either stuck with smooth camera movement with absurdly slow tethering, or fast jittery camera movement with normal tethering.
I just picked this up and here are my thoughts so far, the combat feels really clunky and weird, they tried to do their own thing but it just ended up over complicating things, the platforming feels slapped on and really weird at times, I do like the memory remixing mechanic though.
I'm getting stuttering after playing for like 20 minutes. It smells of a memory leak.
Combat is horrible.
I wouldn't say horrible, just repetitive.
I wouldn't say horrible, just repetitive.
I wouldn't even say that, I think it's great, it's nice to keep switching up combos and making cool ones.
Oh is this what became of Adrift? [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/32793717/misc/391_realsize.jpg[/t] I've had the concept arts for this in my desktop background collection for a while because they look really cool.
I wouldn't even say that, I think it's great, it's nice to keep switching up combos and making cool ones.
The combo thing was a cool idea, but for a guy who rarely plays fighting games that involve combos, it's pot luck what I press. Basically I mash any combination of buttons and hope it works :v:
i really liked the game sure, it wasnt the next big thing but visually it was very nice, with the SCI FI Elements, combat was a bit repetitive, but being the studio first game i say it wasnt bad and there were some moments that were hard for me to go trough :V like [sp]having to remix your own father memory so he thinks he killed his daugther..shit man[/sp]
I feel like if pretty much everything had been fleshed out just a little bit more (greater combat variety, more polished traversal, and a slightly less baffling narrative), the game could have been something really special. That said, I really enjoyed my time with it and there were definitely some very clever and memorable moments ([sp]mostly the remixes, particularly both car crash sequences[/sp]). Also, I really loved the soundtrack.
