[B]What is TimeSplitters?[/B]
TimeSplitters is a first-person shooter made by Free Radical design (now CrytekUK). These games were worked on by some of the talent that worked on Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64 and therefore shares a lot of similarities. Namely the objectives structure and with the first two games with the 'reloading' animation where the weapon held bobs down out of frame and then back up into position. There are three games in the TimeSplitters series, TimeSplitters, TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters Future Perfect. Unfortunately there is no news of a TimeSplitters 4. However. It is known that there are works to bring back TimeSplitters in the form of TimeSplitters Rewind. A multiplayer experience that is TimeSplitters for modern systems. While progress on the game is slow (as of now), it does look promising and might (or may not, if it's ever released) shape up to be something quite spectacular.
[B]Characters[/B]
There are hundreds of characters in the Timesplitters series. The most important ones are:

Multiplayer lets you play as all your favorite characters from the game and more in hectic game modes.

[B]- Deathmatch:[/B] free-for-all game mode. Every man for himself.
[B]- Capture the Bag:[/B] get the enemy bag and return it to your base.
[B]- Bag Tag:[/B] Free for all with a single bag, hold the bag to get points.
[B]- Elimination:[/B] Free for all with lives.
[B]- Shrink:[/B] Elimination where your character shrinks depending on their position on the score board.
[B]- Virus:[/B] Free for all with one infected, tag other players to infect them.
[B]- Zones:[/B] Capture and control points to give your team points.
[B]- Assault:[/B] Assault the enemy base and destroy their defenses to complete objectives.
[B]And many, many more.[/B]
I really wish they released the timesplitters series on PC, I loved playing 2 & 3 with friends.

I think one of the online petitions was successful; they are planning on making a HD remake of the original games, and then they will consider making TS4 based on the response from that.

I honestly hope to see either a HD Remake of the old ones or Timesplitters 4, either way, It'll be the best game again, I'll be able to waste even more hours on it. :D
Fuck I just got reminded to beat like the second to last level in TS2 finally, then I got to move on to TS3 again and beat that.

Anyway Future Perfect was my favourite Timesplitter game, I loved the map editor.
Me and my buddy used to play this back in the day, this was our game.
TimeSplitters 2 had that "docter who" feeling to it.
I love Timesplitters, and the second game had some really great music

Timesplitters 4 is uncertain at this point. While many of the original Timesplitters team members remain at Crytek UK, the funding and interest for another Timesplitters game is low. In the current saturated video game market, attempting something bold and silly like Timesplitters is too big a risk for developers and publishers to make. So at this point Timesplitters 4 remains on indefinite hold until there is enough people voicing their interest. also

Apparently I've heard through the wood worm that TS4 is being worked on. Now it isn't exactly TS4 but I remember an article saying that Crytek gave permission to Daniel Wesoly. It's actually really easy now, I also remember the challenges etc as being incredibly hard, but now I can do them.
I don't get how you can make an awesome game series like this and not even have a follow up on the 'then' next gen consoles (360 / ps3 / pc).
