• Is it worth it to trade in 6 games for StarCraft 2?

So, yeah as the titles says, I want to get StarCraft 2, and currently my wallet is empty, therefore I was planning to trade in Dragon Age: Origin, GTA: Episodes From Liberity City, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Rockband 1, Red Dead Redemption and Modern Warefare 2 to get it. So can someone tell me is it worth it to trade 3/4 of my Xbox games in for StarCraft? And should I get the limited edition? Is the limited edition worth it?
It's probably worth it if you are done with all those games. And if you have enough money get the collector's edition...It comes with Starcraft 1 and a bunch of other cool stuff. But it's $40 more.
Depends on how much you play the current games and how much you like RTS games. SCII is by no means a bad game, but it might just not be your cup of tea. If you rarely find yourself playing the other games you might as well give it a shot.
yes
No. I mean, those all are pretty recent. (Maybe not Rockband and DA:O, but they are all quality games. Or at least games that sell.)
I never trade in games. I can wait till I have enough money to buy something. I'd rather keep my collection growing.
@Murdoco I am fairly done with them anyways, I don't play them anymore. Even if I go on my Xbox, my game of choice is Bad Company 2 or Super Street Fighter IV anyway, so I guess I should trade them in. @Edthefirst I do indeed like the game very much, my friend gave me a 7 hours trial code, loved playing the multiplayer with my friend, we had a great time together. So I guess that's another yes. @ricktrolled 3 yes. @Fippe I have to agree, they are good games (And DA:O IS good!) and it could be good if I leave 'em here doesn't incase one day I want to play them again. (MW2 is shit now with all the glitchers and babies playing them game.) 1 No @Zezibesh I have a collection of PC games, so I guess that would serve me.
I wouldn't. RDR and GTA IV at least of tons of replayability and I bet you'll be missing those before long. If I were you I'd just fork over the money or wait for the price to go down, it's not worth all those games. RDR alone (used) fetches almost the same price as StarCraft II (new) on half.com in good condition, you'd be getting ripped off.
Remember, Quality over Quantity.
@scorpion8754 I must agree, they are 2 high quality games made by high quality companies. But GTA is just plain boring after a while, even if your playing with friends sometimes, and RDR is good, but with all the spawn killing online, it just puts me off. @Zeloutional You, sir, had just given me 100000000000 yes.
I personally would keep Red Dead Redemption. As the mutliplayer is quite fun. I would say try saving up for the game instead of trading in games. Also, where are you trading them in?
@Sgt. Khorn I am in Ireland and I am planning to trade 'em in at Gamestop or GAME, even HMV if their price is better.

@scorpion8754 I don't play the games anyway so I don't mind saying bye bye to them. Hmmm, no I'll consider keeping RDR and trading the rest in, thanks.
You'd be better of selling them, rather than giving them to the shop. What they usually do is just place them back on the shelf at the same price as the others, so they rip you off.

Except RDR and GTA.
@Zezibesh I have a collection of PC games, so I guess that would serve me.
You'll miss them eventually. I thought I didn't need Ratchet & Clank or Sly Raccoon 1-3. Oh how wrong I was. That day I vowed I'd never trade in any games ever again.
but really, trading games is good
@Janizaurd I will try to sell them online first before I trade them in, might get few more Euros from doing that. @Ezhik I cba with GTA, but I'll consider RDR. @Zezibesh But the chances of me putting them into the Xbox is fairly low, besides, my friends have them, so I can just get a lend.
I wouldn't do it. I bought SC2 recently and it's not that great. Lost all the charm of the first game completely, only the fact that it's basically the same gameplay makes it any good. Raynor has hair, what the christ.
Starcraft 2 isn't that expensive. You'll surely find it for 40$ if you look hard enough. I wouldn't trade all those games for it because it's simply not worth that much money, even if it's a great game. I'm pretty sure you could sell RDR for like 15$ if you find a good buyer.
but really, trading games is good
it fucks shit up for devs
@DeeGee I got a trial code, and I am love it. :P @kp3 Yeah it's 45e for the normal edition here in Ireland, it's expensive enough lol. Loving your avatar, btw. @LODY True..but got no other chioce.
It depends if you're bored with the games you're planning to sell. I wouldn't sell any of those, but that's just my opinion.
@Zezibesh But the chances of me putting them into the Xbox is fairly low, besides, my friends have them, so I can just get a lend.
That's what I thought. Oh well, it's your choice.
Fuck no, of course it's not. Why would you even think that 6 games that are pretty recent and mostly still cost the original price would be worth the same as a single game?
Exactly, DA:O is awesome, and while MW2 isn't, there's so many people wanting to buy it that it would still sell. Having to trade in those would get you only like 7€ each anyway. Which certainly isn't what they are worth.
Yeah, I've already put the games online, just waiting for someone to buy them off me.
