Minecraft won't start up

So then this afternoon i decided to play some Minecraft, went to the website and selected multiplayer, clicked on a server and while it was loading i get this error message
"org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated"
And i click okay on the message and the game won't start, what do i do ?
