Fucking Dust - Games - Facepunch Forum

Why does everyone have to host fucking dust on their servers? I have never found anyone (with a ping of less than 100) who's hosting a non dust or custom game. Hasn't anyone heard of FUN maps like office, nuke, militia or...compound a bit. Although, I [i]did[/i] find a server that was hosting train (excuse me for not putting the game type appended to the names), so I guess all hope isn't lost. Bitch at me now. ...dust whores.

It's just the most popular map, just like 2fort and TF2. Try organizing the server by map name.

I like sorting by ping better, and I scroll through all of them first. I think it's a matter of luck of the draw than anything else. I shall still keep this in mind.

Dust is a great map gameplay wise. Why do you hate it?

It's so popular you can't find any other map, that's why.

The public CSS Beta was just de_Dust and de_Aztec from what i recall. And it was also a huge tournament map back in the days of CAL and CPL on 1.5 and 1.6.

It is the most popular map. Supply and demand

I have no problem finding non dust servers with great pings. Where are you located op?

Seriously, there are loads of servers that play maps that aren't dust2, and I'd be willing to bet you could find some in your area too.

As I said before, I think it's based on the time, or I set my ping too low, (100 is reasonable!). But if it takes 137 or something to avoid dust, then it will have to do.

Its beggining to look a lot like 2fort.

Filter for a different map. It isn't hard to find another map.
