Just today, I've gotten two emails from noreply@steampowered.com telling me to enter the verification code they sent me, as well as telling me to enter my recovery question in order to change my password. To get that email sent wouldn't they have to be logged into my account? I'm logged in now and have not logged out for some time, so they weren't on my account. Could they do it from the Steam Community website? I just looked around the site and don't see a change password option.
So I'm wondering, how did I get these emails? And should I be worried for my account? And my email and steam accounts do have different passwords, I'm not that stupid.
Change password immediately.
Changed.

The email I got when I changed it was from a different email, and actually looked official. But the other one I was pretty sure an official Steam address.

The first two I got were for a forgotten password, this was for a changed password, maybe that's why. Was someone just messing with me? They would've had to have guessed my recovery question, and had my email password, so I don't think I was in that much danger. I guess they didn't have my password. I hope this was a harmless prank and not someone dead set on my account.
Steps to change password.

And then you can change your password from there.
Edit: Nevermind, you got it.
Good thing you verified your email. And to above poster. I suggest you verify your email ASAP
Also change your e-mail password.
Its just a stupid scammer
