Why does everybody hate on MW2? I think its a good game (for xbox at least)
I personally dislike it because of the overpriced DLC.
I Hate the fact that MW2 is the only fps game the majority in my school has ever played. I mean, Were there some kind of trigger somewhere that made a bunch of rugby players start to think, oh, I think Ill play this game?
It has good points and bad points. Mainly bad points.
A lot of it is related to the community, as well as the balance issues. Personally, I think its alright, but I only play with my IRL friends.

Its overrated, overhyped, unbalanced multiplayer, lacks authentic or original gameplay, most people only play it to fit in or "be cool", plus the community is made up of dumb jocks and brain-dead rednecks that think this game is the best thing ever to happen to gaming

It's basically a cash-in. Fewer features (which paves the way for DLC), cookie-cutter gameplay, tiny, tiny campaign...and let's not forget the 60-dollars-on-all-platforms price point. No thanks.

What you mean tiny campaign? The Game Has Decent Size of missions/levels plus it is a very good campaign with a nice twist

It's more the logistics of it. Because MW2 is such a hot commodity the $15 DLC's are going to sell very well. Developers are seeing this and thinking "If we make a hot title, we can sell poorly crafted DLC for more then it should be and still make bank". We're seeing this with more PC titles picking up the $60 price tag.

Second time through: 3 hours
Third time through (speed run): 2 hours

The story is actually pretty short and bland, hell even a game with no story has a single player longer than MW2

#4 Unbalanced MP
Crappy 'servers'.
Overrated and people that don't even play games play COD, it's just too fucking mainstream it's like a fucking virus, HATE IT.
Its an unbalanced mess that recieves way too much undeserved praise.
-Overpriced DLC that should've been in the game to start with

-4 hour campaign
-$60
-No skill, whoever meets opponent first wins
-Rushed by publisher
-PC version completely gutted
-Most of IW left because of Activision and this game

Awful single player that made no sense
They could have made dlc less exspensive, also, online play didn't hold a candle to cod4
I don't think it's as bad as people make it seem, but it's not fantastic.
I don't hate MW2 but I agree that it's unbalanced and overated.

$30 for 2 DLCs that adds 10 maps that should have been in the game to start with.

Everytime i reinstall mw2 (idk why) i feel like i should be playing Tf2 because the multiplayer in COD MW2 is just run in circles.

Infinity Ward isn't responsible for the price of DLC, Activision sets the price and probably forces them to make dlc.
Only reason why I don't play it is because of 90% of the players in multiplayer noobtube
Personally I have a lot of fun playing MW2 multiplayer, that is until some 12 year olds start spamming "LOL N00B XD" and the like in chat. Then there's the assholes that just spam insults at everyone, they're equally as annoying.
Basically it's a decent game but it has a shit community. Shit being an understatement.
