Those of you who played The Darkness will be very pleased to hear that a sequel is now being planned. Currently the teaser trailer is the only source of information we have to run on, but I am now absolutely stoked to see this game released. When it said 10.4.2011 i thought it meant the 10th of April, chronological order, what's so hard about doing it like that at all? [editline]5th May 2011[/editline] Still i can't wait to see how this one turns out.
i absolutely fucking loved the first game

God damn I should play through the first again. Such an underplayed, underrated classic.

PC? Hell yeah. The first one looked so damn awesome but I could never play it due to not having a PS3. I'll be looking forward to this.
Wait, I thought the Darkness consumed his soul in the end, how did he just walk away from it?
The Darkness was awesome, besides the annoying visits to the World War I dreamworld. Granted, that took up a third of the game, but it was still great.
It was such a depressing game :( But I absolutely loved it, very underrated.
Wait, I thought the Darkness consumed his soul in the end, how did he just walk away from it?
Might have something to do with the Darkness since it loves to bask in hosts pleasure...granted it's a ass in the game and comics. Now lets go fight the Angelus
Honestly one of the greatest games I have ever played
The only thing I didn't really like about the game was how he just casually walked everywhere. [editline]5th May 2011[/editline] And the unplayable multiplayer lag
First game was so good, I loved impaling poeple with the big tentacle thing.
Eating hearts NEVER got boring. And seeing the Darklings put drills through people's heads.
I hope they drop the shitty multiplayer and focus on the single player.
I hope they keep it and remove the horrible connection issues.

We checked with a team of scientists, who confirmed that quad wielding is twice as awesome as dual wielding.
Oh god I just came. Mike Patton is the best voice actor ever. His voice in this game just sounds like pure evil.
Oh cool, you get to summon midget chavs.
They're called Darklings.
Think he was talking about the Union Jack clothes. I fucking love the first one, I hope they can fix the multiplayer in this one, it had so much potential.
Oh god, The Darkness. Sort of a guilty pleasure for me. It's story was pretty cheesy at points and the weird World War 1 Darkness world thing part was more than a little out of place, but it was still a damned solid shooter with a nice twist on gameplay. Had some really neat little features and things you just didn't expect to see back then, I remember how they had TVs playing Popeye cartoons and short clips from old B-movies. It was also one of the first "Next-gen" games that I remember using proper blood decals on character models, which made the gunplay just that small bit more satisfying. Shame the Multiplayer had what has to be the worst netcoding I have ever seen in a video game. I mean, there was one match I joined where I kept spawning on different teams and was just teleporting around the map. I hope they keep that sort of Half-Life 1-esque feature where you can kill just about everybody you meet (outside the hub world, anyways). There's something childishly amusing about the moments where a bum would go "Don't Shoot!", and was about to have some meaningful dialogue, but instead ends up with a bullet in his head because he looked like an enemy.
I really loved the first one, one of my favourite games still, and as I never played it online I guess my view of it hasn't been tarnished by the apparently terrible multiplayer Here's hoping this game keeps what made the original so amazing while still bringing it forward (quad-wielding sounds amazing, in a review in an Xbox magazine I saw that you can hold an enemy with one demon arm and use the analogue to slash him in any direction with the other)

Anyone notice that the darkness serpent on the right has an entirely new look to it. It looks like it has tusks now, or some type of curved spikes protruding from the sides and bottom of its head. (in the trailer at least)

That'd be cool, if in game each head has its own dialogue for whatever is going on
