• Episodes from Liberty City or the full game?

So, I've decided I want to play GTA IV on my PC (dont hnnnnngg about my pc specs I can live with anything over 20fps), but what I can't decide is which version of the game to get. Should I get Episodes from Liberty City, or the full game? Keep in mind I've played the full game on the 360. Which one is better for modding (guessing mods work on both)? Which one would you say has the most replay value? Thanks in advance, I guess.
Gta iv
EFLC has more content, however you can also buy the original and use your original key to activate a EFLC copy. Not that I did anything like this.
EFLC does not have more content.

A few new vehicles and weapons do not amass to a full game.
I'm pretty sure there is new vehicles and weapons in EFLC...
I think he means less content than GTA4, not that EFLC doesnt contain anything new.
I actually think I'm just going to get GTA4 rather than EFLC, I have lots of stuff to do in the next few weeks. I might get too immersed into the story of the EFLC and sit at my computer for the next month. And like Take_Opal suggested, I guess a few vehicles and weapons don't matter, surely someone would've ripped them from EFLC and made them usable in GTA4 by now.
I would pick gta 4 but there are not relatively big mods right now. it might take a while for map/ model/game type editors and such

There are no mods for GTA except vehicles and graphics.
GTA 4 The Lost and Damned is mediocre, although The Ballad of Gay Tony is great fun.
There are no mods for GTA except vehicles and graphics.
There's multiplayer mods for San Andreas and (i think) Vice City.
The only thing I think that IV is better than EFLC at is story missions. Everything else is better in EFLC as far as I am concerned. [editline]06:36PM[/editline] The "no mods" theory is bullshit. They're actually starting to get somewhere with modding now. So far it's modding maps, scripts, adding entirely new weapons, and adding vehicles. These things take time though. [editline]06:37PM[/editline]
EFLC does not have more content.
Well actually it does. It has everything from IV; guns, vehicles, peds, the same city, but then EFLC adds some shit. [editline]06:38PM[/editline] Actually now that I think about it, some mods only work on GTA IV. Yeah fuck it get IV you can just mod in EFLC weapons or something. Oh, and if you want to play multiplayer with your 20 FPS, good luck. I'm pretty sure that, unless they took it out, you get kicked from multiplayer if your FPS average is lower than 25.
Not that bothered about multiplayer, really.
EFLC may have new items but it doesn't have 24+ hours worth of storyline and all the stranger and side missions
Ok here is how I see it: EFLC: = more fun and better multiplayer IV = more mods and better storyline I think that's a good way to choose, yes?
Isn't GTA IV also cheaper?
GTA 4 is cheaper. Imho, EFLC is more fun to mess around with.
Yeah, EFLC is more fun for me. But IV is $10 cheaper (for some reason)
Not that bothered about multiplayer, really.
Is there anyone that actually plays the pc multiplayer anyways? I've been searching games but the most I've found is four.
Is there anyone that actually plays the pc multiplayer anyways? I've been searching games but the most I've found is four.
I think most people play private games, games with strangers end up being spawnkilling deathmatches.
i love BoGT parachuting down. favourite pass time
Installed IV, tried modding it, ran it again and it crashed. So I did a reinstall and followed a different guide and everything is going well. I get around 50 fps on the med-high settings on an 800x600 resolution, which I think is playable on. I'm not that bothered about it looking jagged and horrible.
