Fyi: Synopsis
BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter currently in development at Irrational Games, the studio behind the original BioShock (which sold over 4 million units worldwide). Set in 1912, BioShock Infinite introduces an entirely new narrative and gameplay experience that lifts players out of the familiar confines of Rapture and rockets them to Columbia, an immense city in the sky.
Former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt has been sent to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned in Columbia since childhood. Booker develops a relationship with Elizabeth, augmenting his abilities with hers so the pair may escape from a city that is literally falling from the sky. DeWitt must learn to fight foes in high-speed Sky-Line battles, engage in combat both indoors and amongst the clouds, and harness the power of dozens of new weapons and abilities.
how are they augmenting their abilities without adam? i assume they are going to have something like adam but 'not adam'. seems sort of lame.

*This is not an actual bet
Looks awesome.
But is it just Bioshock...but instead of underwater, it's just in the sky?
Ok, so it's Bioshock in the sky? Except people didn't look completely fucked up like in Bioshock, but there will be some twisted shit going on there I can bet (that robotic thing with the heart, for example).
I don't know, that trailer was confusing.
Meh, that trains look ripped of and that engines that keep it up are stupid.
But well, cool sequences when an area goes down and stuff I gues.
Bioshock is cool and all but... I dunno. Bioshock in the sky sounds kinda lame.
It's not Bioshock without plasmids
Looks awesome.

I'm assuming so. I think they are showing a demo to the major gaming sites.
Trailer is on Kotaku as well:

This looks kinda silly.
:ninja:
It was buffering too slow so I just right-clicked and saved the video.
Awesome, one of my friends is working as an animator for the people who worked on Bioshock.
:aaa:
Why are they calling this a bioshock game?
Another console garbage like Bioshock. I want something like System Shock, not a console shooter. Why they don't listen their fans?
That's... interesting... sounds like a really Steampunk concept, actually.
Less art deco, more steampunk, from what I see at least. And I think that could be a very good thing. Though if done wrong it could go very, very bad. Then again the same could be said of Bioshock, and that was done very, very well. Then again there was Bioshock 2 which was a bit of a let down, but I still feel it was made in the mindset for big guns and action for console players.
Also, it's set for a... 2012 release? That's a pretty long time. Bioshock's first trailer was in Sept 2006 and it released in Aug 2007.
wonder if you can fly in any parts
They couldn't make System Shock 3 because EA owns the rights to the franchise.
