A whole lot recently on all source games, you'll be playing normally until suddenly you cannot move, shoot, or chat.
But everything else looks fine because you can see other players running around and killing eachother.The chat works fine and you can hear people over voicechat.
Shortly after you are kicked for "Disconnect: <username> timed out."

What causes this fake timeout? I'm obviously not timing out normally because I can still see the game playing and there is no "Connection issues" box in the upper right.
I have avast and a DIR-655 Dlink router. Is this just a source issue or is my router blocking my outgoing traffic? Any info would be appreciated.
Edit: It doesn't happen every time i join a game, just every once in a while to piss me off.
Sometimes when i lose connection while connected to a server i can still see chat and hear people talking, but i cannot move. I don't think this is a "fake" timeout.
Obviously you still have a connection since you can see chat and hear people talking. That is why i am confused. I decided it was a router problem and disabled a bunch of traffic shaping. I'll test it out.

Oh god, I had this happening recently. Although, I am pretty sure you are invisible/invincible for the duration. Not like it helps, though.
