TF2 - The Soup Hut - Games - Facepunch Forum

Seeing as there really is no good place to put this I'm sticking it here. Move or delete as you wish. The TF2 section has a rule to not post these there. Anyway. I need some help 'jump-starting' this server. When someone joins a TF2 server they look for one that is moderately full and exclude any empty ones. Because of this it is really hard to get a server going. If I could get at least 6 or so people to join at once and play for a while it will fill up pretty quick. From there it runs itself. The people there attract more people, they add to the amount, and then more people join. Big old snowball. So. Anyone willing to help? If you do want to join in the next hour or so. Though, anytime is fine. Thanks! After playing on the server for a bit, I have to say it's quite great. The owner is enthusiastic and nice, and he's doing his best to keep the server fun and unique while not doing stupid things like adding very annoying unnecessary plug-ins. He is of course, adding good plug-ins on there, like theme bot. Overall, it was great. I plan on playing on this in the future.

I played it for a bit, I really like it. I'm mostly ecstatic due to the fact that I get under 100 ping. :v: The only thing I want to see is a spray identifier.

you need to gather a LOT of people you can trust who will always play on it. regulars.

add some custom maps and then ill join

Nobody is gonna join an empty server they had [b]just[/b] heard about on a forum, they're gonna wait until it has several people in it. Then people will see from the stat tracker that more people are playing, and they will join. Then people will see their friends playing and decide to join them, and so on.

When I first saw the thread I thought that it was going to be a map made out of soup cans or demomen being soup cans. Sadly I was disapointed.

I added it to my favourites and I'll play on it tomorrow or something.
