I've been playing Far Cry 2 for the last few days. It's actually a very good game that requires tactic and recon (I play on Infamous and haven't completed the game before).
I think I remember seeing a co-op mod for it a long time ago, or I read that wrong.
I know about the Escape maps, I played them with a friend and they were awesome and time consuming.
Now I figured, the games has all the basics for a good co-op, if it can run enemy NPC's, it should be able to run a (very basic atleast) co-op mode.
When you go into co-op mode it allows you to play on the same map with a friend on the same device.
My friend and I catch ourselves thinking that Far Cry 2 would be fucking amazing in co-op.
The map system, the healing and revival system, the loadouts and the gunned vehicles.
Incidentally I've been planning a spiritual successor to FC2 for some time now.
And it just keeps coming back.
I keep getting ideas for smaller projects, but I always keep getting sidewinded back to WIP title: Operator Simulator.
