Lightshade online is a free 2D MMORPG that have been in the making since 2007, the project was layed down 2009 because the lack of players (At a maximum of 81) which now is starting again, the beta will launch as soon as the game has players, the beta will be OPEN and everyone can access it. The game will have quests that covers all levels, if you like to grind you can choose that instead, you can also do instances - "Open Instances" are open for everyone that has the key, so join the party to get a party-exp multiplier that will result in you getting more exp. PVP: At lvl 8 you unlock full pvp, you can get killed OR kill anyone at any time outside the citys. Killing one player will call out your name to the global chat to notify other players of your deed, your name will turn red you will loose exp and items when dying as a red. This will ONLY happend if the player you kill does not fight back. he game will have arenas for every 10 lvls where you can fight without loosing any exp/items. Arena events will be hold now and then. There will also be zones where you can't use spells, in these zones magic users will have to keep an eye open for pkers. Spec specalisation. Like in most games the game will have a spec system, INT(For spell users) DX(For Archers users) STR (For melee users) DEF (For tanks) Classes: Centurion - Role: Tank/Dps, if you specc most of your points into Def you will become a good tanker but a worthless DPSER, if you specc most into STR you will be a useless tanker but a good Dpser. Marksman of Larden (MoT) - Role: Dps/Kiter, if you specc most of your points into DEX you will become a fast-shooter but a low hitter, if you specc most into STR you will become a hard-hitter but a slow-shooter. Brigand - Role: Dps, Same as archer, hit fast and do low damage or hit slow and do high damage. Spellbinder - Role: Dps, This class should only specc into INT (magic) Warden - Role: Healer, Same for this class Guilds: At any lvl a player can create a guild they can then get involved in either PVP or PVE, some guilds can start fights with others and buy own guild houses. Ingame gear: There will be PVE gear and PVP Gear. For pve gear you must dedicate your character to PVE, which means you will be bad in PVP and same goes for PVP and PVE. We will be fixing 1-10 new maps per day which means that we will dish out alot of new content per day, gonna try to design atleast 1-5 quests per day. Reaching the max level won't mean the game is over, you can then quest to get more money and fame to purchase a house and the shiniest non raiding gear or dedicate yourself to PVP and PVE. To join the game and be a beta player simply go to www.lightshadeonline.tk and join the forum. (The website aint the best ATM but we will fix better with the time.) Pictures are found on the site
mind posting a few pics?
It would probably be in your best interest to invest in a real domain name.
This does sound interesting, but can you post pictures or something?

Looks like Graal online.
Hey isn't it that sprite-based MMO engine?
bump
Hey isn't it that sprite-based MMO engine?
Looks like it, the same one that everyone uses for their "mmo".
Looks like crap, no way am i playing this.
Need a hand with sprites? I am pretty good at spriting.
Tech is a pretty good spriter I wont mind helping with spriteing either.
Another generic 2D sprite "MMO" game. These are boring.
Looks like Gamemaker or something. I'm just guessing because I started an RPG on it and it looked A LOT like your MMO there. Also, I don't like the idea of the entire world outside of the towns bieng pvp enabled. I've seen it sort of like that before and it gets REALLY annoying when you have some objective you're working on and someone just comes up and attacks you for no reason.
looks like programmer art
looks like programmer art
Exactly why me and red should sprite for it. It might take a while to go through all the sprites and revamp them to look sexeh, but taking time is better than having nobody play it.
I like full PvP where appropriate, like in Darkfall and HellMOO and such.
It's the eclipse engine, all the features he described come standard with the engine. You know you can actually change the source code or the main script?
looks like programmer art
Minecraft is programmer art.
Yes but Minecraft isn't terrible.
Minecraft is programmer art.
I never said programers can't create art. There's a difference between programmer art and a programmer/artist's art. Notch has more than a clue about both. I'm also not saying that programmer art is necessarily bad, because it's designed to serve the purpose of filling in blanks so the artist knows what to do, or to just have something other than grey on the screen.
