I played the demo for SC IV, they had removed all the colour and sexualized everything to shit. Fuck that. I still have Soul Calibur 1 for Dreamcast and it is perfect.

The characters should look as they did in Soul Blade.

I love the Soul Calibur games, they're a decent ish fighting game with swords where even if you suck pretty badly you can still do quite well against the CPU. My only complaint is that alot of characters just seem terribly bad in every way, they'll do hardly any damage, hit slowly and have no decent special attacks. In Soul Calibur 4 the only characters I found decent were Siegfried (Huge sword guy), Mitsurugi and the freaky girl with the rapier (might have been called Amy, her repeated attack alone could win fights).

I like the Soul Calibur series. The fanservice was just at completely unnecessary levels in IV, though - not to mention that not only was the character creation gimped (lets not get started on 'DRESS IN HORRIBLE CLOTHES, BECOME STRONGER THAN FINAL BOSS'), but it was sorely lacking content - arcade mode, a story mode that is [i]shorter than arcade with only the rare couple of cutscenes to make up for it,[/i] the Tower of Souls and versus. After the content smourgusborg of II and III (III especially), it made me sad. Hopefully Namco learned their lesson and we won't have big-breasted women in thongs (+ clothing damage) beating the shit out of eachother while making orgasmic sounds. Oh wait, this series is Namco's equivalent to Dead or Alive. Except with swords and shit.
