I'm torn between these 2 mmo's as they both look good and are hack and slash. Vindictus: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vindictus_%28video_game%29 + Source Engine, btw + Soft bones :smug: - In trailer you get to grapple huge polar bear, but gameplay does not show that. Blade & Soul: wikipedia has squat on it so: http://www.bladeandsoul.com/global/en + Unreal Engine, btw + Look at them hips and thighs :smug: I've been followed Blade and Soul quite a while ago, then I forgot the name.. and forgot all about it. Then comes Vindictus, looks great. However I've seen gameplay on youtube and it looks boring. I wonder which you guys like. [editline]04:04AM[/editline] holy crap.. MMO section seems really dead.
+ Source Engine, btw
Source engine? Not an MMO by a long shot.
Blade & Soul
Typical Korean grinding.
Then comes Vindictus, looks great. However I've seen gameplay on youtube and it looks boring.
lol
Well, you probably already know this but just in case you don't... http://mabination.com/vindictus/vindictus-discussions/3143-what-do-you-think-about-token-system.html (Reword all 'Maibinogi Heroes' to 'Vindictus' in the quote box text. I think it's still called Maibinogi Heroes in Korea though, according to the wiki...) Read the quoted part. If I remember what I read from a beta tester correctly, you can purchase tokens with real life money now. Typical Nexon eh? I know nothing about Blade & Soul, so I won't comment on that.
I think i might try Vindictus since i am currently playing Mabinogi. Now thats going to be a real test as the Giant Spiders are detailed 100 times more than the Mabinogi Giant Spiders. But i'll still give it a shot. Never heard of Blade and Soul though, so i cant give a honest opinion.
Blade and Soul looks much cooler than Vindictus. And to be honest, I don't exactly trust Nexon because of such bullcrap as "Combat Arms". I definitely trust PlayNC though. Guild Wars plz.
I wouldn't play any of them because they are both generic. Though, I'd rather play Blade & Soul even if I don't like ncsoft.
I think i might try Vindictus since i am currently playing Mabinogi.
Mabinogi suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. Sorry, but I really think it does. [editline]11:43PM[/editline]
Source engine?
It is.
I have to say Blade&Soul. While I love the idea of Vindictus, I know that it is Nexon, and Nexon is destined to pull some bullshit move like the above-mentioned 'Token System'.
vindictus looks pretty sexy from the video i saw on youtube it looks like a real game but free to play

And a free game doesn't pay. Is that what the Token System is?
All free to play games have to have some source of income. And a free game doesn't pay. Is that what the Token System is?
Yes it is a source of income, because of the way it removes the limits on players. Personally though, I would really prefer it if the token system was thrown out the window, and instead people could buy items from the cash shop that increased the EXP/Money they got from dungeons, so that casual players who wanted to speed up gameplay a little could, and hardcore players who wanted to be the absolute best could as well. I wouldn't mind an extra grind if it meant that I would be able to access whatever content I wanted to at any time I wanted to. The Token System favors more casual players; players who might only do 50 dungeon runs (the amount you can do without purchasing more tokens) in a week. This demographic, the casual players, are less likely to buy tokens, because they do not want to/ cannot invest the time to play much more than the allotted 50 runs. This demographic is also more likely to purchase EXP/Cash boosting items in a normal cash shop environment, because they generally want to get the most done in the small amount of time they devote to the game. Nexon must be banking on drawing a large crowd of hardcore players, because these are going to be the main crowd that purchases tokens on a regular basis. The Token System may bring in greater returns if there are indeed many hardcore players but, in the case that there are more casuals than hardcores the losses will be quite noticeable. The normal 'Cash Shop' style of boost items may not rake in as much money as the Token System, but it is a much more stable system, that is viable in any environment.
Grasp is absolutely right, although I will try Vindictus anyway, 50 runs sounds like enough for me honestly, If you're going to be grinding the same 2 dungeons per 10 levels or so, you'll get bored fairly quick and take a break. I haven't played though so I wouldn't know for sure.
you don't need to buy tokens or anything you gain tokens from clearing dungeons on hard
Are you sure this isn't just for the beta? If not, thank you for the info. I didn't know that, and my assumptions were misguided because of this.
Eh I voted for B&S because Source is going to be limited severely by .bsp formatting...
Are you sure this isn't just for the beta? If not, thank you for the info. I didn't know that, and my assumptions were misguided because of this.
I'm not sure if it's only for the beta or not though :v:
Well chyea, they have to make a store system. Blade and Soul is going to be a retail game?
That Blade & Soul video looks fucking stupid, but DAMN that girl has a big butt. I like how the camera was focusing on the girls' ass the entire video + jiggly boobs. The graphics looks good tho.
Well chyea, they have to make a store system. Blade and Soul is going to be a retail game?
Yes, B&S is going to be retail+subscription. or just Buy and play. I don't think it has been confirmed yet.
Yes, B&S is going to be retail+subscription.
well i already know which game i'm getting vindictus lol
That Blade & Soul video looks fucking stupid, but DAMN that girl has a big butt. I like how the camera was focusing on the girls' ass the entire video + jiggly boobs. The graphics looks good tho.
Look at the environment though, it looks like vanilla Oblivion.
I'm gonna go for Blade & Soul just because of this [editline]03:25PM[/editline] Go to 15:31 and you'll what I'm talking about
Go to 15:31 and you'll what I'm talking about
Yeah, but if that's PVP and not a killing move, that would be awesome.. but It'd be annoying to have to run all the way back.
Lets see..... :V Blade and Soul, well not much is known about the story so I can't judge on it yet. Although Vindictus does have a lot of action and story..
Does it?
Mabinogi suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. Sorry, but I really think it does.
I thought otherwise until I spent $50 on the game and realized I was still getting nowhere even playing it everyday all day Fuckng scams
I'm leaning towards Blade&soul, well because Vindictus (Mabinogi Heroes) will be published by... you know nexon and nexon will find a way to fuck up the game somehow.
I thought otherwise until I spent $50 on the game and realized I was still getting nowhere even playing it everyday all day Fuckng scams
You spent $50 on it? It's F2P.
You spent $50 on it? It's F2P.
Cash shop...
Cash shop...
That's pretty damn stupid. You should play the game first, then if you like it, you buy from them.
